Sophie Elizabeth Foster
William David Foster is Sophie Foster's human father. He was the one who nicknamed her "Soybean" as a baby from her constant attempts to say "Suldreen", which meant 'Moonlark' in the Enlightened Language. His name was changed to Connor Freeman when his memories were erased by Washers in Keeper of the Lost Cities to hide Sophie's Elvin identity. In Nightfall, he was kidnapped by the Neverseen to be experimented on, and thus his memories were erased once again by Damel Kafuta with the help of Sophie's enhancing ability. Sophie occasionally checks on her human family through her unregistered Spyball.

From teasing Sophie constantly as she grew up, and nicknaming her Soybean, it is evident that William and Sophie had a strong bond. Once Sophie had learnt William was not her biological father, she had not stopped caring for him, constantly worrying for her family. At the end of Nightfall, Sophie manages to give a goodbye to her parents to show how deeply she cared for them. William currently is not aware of Sophie, having his memories wiped after Vespera kidnapped him to experiment on the human capability for violence.
Emma Foster (Kate Freeman)[]

Not much is known of William and Emma's relationship, but it is inferred that they love and take care of each other.
Amy Foster (Natalie Freeman)[]

Much of William and Amy's father-daughter relationship is unknown, but it is assumed William deeply cares for his children, as seen in Nightfall, where he had not wanted any harm to come to his daughter.
Marty and Watson[]

William's relationship between Marty and Watson are unknown but inferred that William cares for his pets as he cares for his family.
