William David Foster is Sophie Foster's human father. He was the one that gave her the nickname "Soybean" as a baby from her constant attempts to say "Suldreen", which is an elvin word that means "Moonlark" in the Enlightened Language. His name was changed to Connor Freeman when his memories were erased by Washers in Keeper of the Lost Cities to hide Sophie's Elvin identity. In Nightfall, he was kidnapped by the Neverseen to be tested on. His memories were erased once again by the Washer Damel Kafuta with the help of Sophie's enhancing ability in Nightfall. Sophie sometimes checks on her human family such as William (Connor) via her unregistered Spyball.
Relationships[]
Sophie Foster[]
- Unknowingly Elvin daughter
From the few scenes we have of them together, it's very clear that William and Sophie had a very strong bond. William teased Sophie a lot as she was growing up, most notably with the nickname Soybean. Even when Sophie learned that he wasn't her biological father, she never stopped caring for him as one. And at the end of Nightfall, when his memories were to be erased after the traumatizing events, Sophie got to say a proper goodbye to him that shows how deeply they care for one another.
Emma Foster (Kate Freeman)[]
- Wife
From what we have seen of them together, it can be inferred that they both love each other a lot and take care of one another. Not much else is known about their relationship.
Amy Foster (Natalie Freeman)[]
- Daughter
Most of their relationship is unknown but it can be assumed that they have relationship similar to that of William and Sophie. It's also very clear that William cares for Amy deeply in Nightfall when we learn that William (along with Emma) didn't want any harm to come to his daughter.
Marty and Watson[]
- Pets
Not much is known about their relationship, but it can be inferred that William cares about his pets as they are part of his family and he sees them as such.
