Vortinators are special spiral staircases used to get to top floors in large buildings very quickly. When an elf says the floor number that they wish to visit while standing on the Vortinator, it will activate and whisk them to that floor. The ride often leaves its users dizzy and slightly nauseous for the first couple of rides. Sophie was quite disoriented the first time she rode one with Keefe at his home, Candleshade.
