Verminions are giant, purple, hamster-looking creatures. There is one verminion living at Havenfield under the care of Grady and Edaline Ruewen. The verminion at Havenfield has a very nasty temper. This character trait may span across all verminions. Sophie is not a fan of the verminion and believes it is out to get her. She first encountered the verminion in Book 1: Keeper of the Lost Cities, when she had it chase her back into its cage to help Grady and Edaline. After caging it, Grady and Sophie found Iggy the Imp (along with a few other dead critters) in the verminion's mouth. Sophie often refers to it as "hamsterzilla".

Physical Appearance

Verminions are described to appear as a purple mound of fur, until they are startled, which causes them to uncurl, hence revealing their rodent face. It was mentioned that their facial features consist of reflective black eyes, sharp fangs, and cheeks that are bulging. It was compared to the size of a rottweiler.
