Trigger Warnings

Hey! I'm Gildie, one of the admins on this site, and I've created a new template for trigger warnings. If you're familiar with the concept of a Discord spoiler tag, this is essentially a modification of the same concept.

Here's the template:

[trigger warning: List a very brief description of the content under the "trigger" parameter (example: surgery)] Any content that could potentially be triggering to certain users can be listed in the "message" parameter. It's preferable that you cover the entire message as opposed to only certain words.

Usage: {{TriggerWarning|trigger=INSERT TRIGGER|message=INSERT MESSAGE}}

On a computer, the hidden content will be visible when a user hovers over the message, and on a mobile device it will become visible when tapped. Several users have mentioned that the lack of consistent or obvious trigger warnings on this site makes it difficult for them to safely access content, and I wanted to offer a new method to combat this issue. I would strongly advise you to use this tag when discussing potentially triggering topics.
