Yes I’m doing this. Yes I realize I advertise this a lot, but I haven’t done something in detail. I’m doing both pros and cons bc there’s definitely things in it that are off lol
Pros:
-tons of lgbtq+ rep (like half of the characters are adsfdgdh)
-42 chapters (if that’s ur thing)
-2nd book currently being written
-I’ve been making a detailed wiki for it (https://giftseries.fandom.com)
-Not all the characters are deep emo 16 yr olds (this bugs me a little so I didn’t write them all like eloquent teenage six of crows characters adsfdg).
-enjOyAblE characters
-I actually make all the plot points connect to each other. Note that some connect to the second book or way later on
-According to my friend, “it has immaculate vibes”
Cons:
-Small chapters (if that’s not ur thing)
-Spelling mistakes, but I do edit as I reread it. Feel free to point them out to me in comments (kindly-)
-Not many Poc unfortunately :( I swear it’s better in the second book lol
-Some fantasy novel clichés I won’t go into detail about bc spoilers (but this depends on ur opinion of them)
-Many parts and characters are deeply based on things from the hunger games, inheritance cycle, scrubs, etc (if that’s not ur thing)
-Written in present tense bc that’s just easier for me (if that’s not ur thing)
Other info:
-Fantasy/adventure
-Over 800 views if that makes a difference for u
-Most chapters are pretty small
-On the second book, I publish chapters once a week, usually on Tuesdays
-I submitted it to the watty awardsssss
-I’m rlly attached to it and I like (kind) feedback :D
