  • who thinks sokeefe is and game?? cuz i dont !!!sofitz relationship is too fast! dont you think? my thoery is that, since sophie is un-matchable, fitz would break up with her beacuase he would embarass his families name (typical) then keefe would come in and confort her (eep!) and tell her what sophies emotions acually says and. . . . . .  stuff!!!!!

    • OMG THAT JUST LIT A CANDLE OF HOPE FOR SOKEEFE

    • This is my hope!

    • The other thing to look at is that this book literally destroyed Fitz's families reputation. Unless he is aiming for normalcy to at least mend this I doubt he would are anymore as there is no perfect family to force him to do this. The series is also all about changing the backward ways of the elves. So this was kinda a predictable move on the authors part.

    • I would love for Foster-Keefe to be real, but I don't see that happening.  (Tbh, I'm not too upset with her and Fitz, they are really cute but not as cute as Keefe because Keefe is the best).  I think the only reason she's unmatchable is because some of the Elvin matching system is based on finding out who you are related to and making sure you're not matched to them.  Because her genetic parents weren't entered into the system, I think that's the only reason she's unmatchable and it will be resolved soon.

Who knows.  Only time can tell!

    • PHEW sokeefe is hopefully dead

    • Wait but if they have her DNA then they can make sure it doesnt match

EDIT: I mean they dont need to know her genetic parents because they have her DNA so they can make sure that it doesnt match too closely with anyone on her lists.

    • i am def a sokeefe shipper, but i'm really trying to exept sofitz because it might actually work. but i def agree that sofitz happened TOO fast. as sweet fitz is he really needs to work on his anger issues especially towards sohphie if he is going to keep this relationship up. ALSO as much as i want keefe and sophie to be together i'm kinda scared what breaking up with fitz would do to the whole friendgroup:/

I just can't stand to see keefe not being with sophie:..(

    • I feel like Fitz isn't mature enough to be in a relationship and Sophie isn't either.

Fitz has super explosive anger, is too controlling and gets jealous way too easily and Sophie is too in love with his face to notice the redflags.

She and Keefe have a deeper connection and I think she's closer with Keefe than any other friend.

He seems to believe in her and love her for her independence.

I don't think Keefe would be so controlling, though who knows how he would really act. He's always too busy flirting, having that stop would just love some of his character I think

    • keefe know that Sophie likes Fitz, but he's smart enough to know that they won't work out! keefe doesn't care if Sophie and Keefe is a bad match!! and plus Fitz's middle name is Avery, it means elf concealer! so I think that Shannon messenger is telling us that Fitz is meant to be single!!!!

    • ^Avery means counselor which is different than counciller. Also autocorrect made it say concealer. Sorry! Also, hopefully Sophie and Keefe do end up together. Just hopefully they aren't related or he dies.

    • Honestly, sorry to say, but I disagree. It took so long for them to confess, even their friends thought it was a long time. And I really don't think Fitz's nature is to break up with anyone who is a bad match. And if you do think so, I honestly don't think you've been reading his character closely enough. He was brave enough to put his whole family status in danger to head off to Exillium as the first Vackers to be banished from the Lost Cities, as well as doing 500 other status-demoting things. Anger issues have absolutely nothing to do with this, in fact, I think that after Exile people are just like "I don't like Fitz anymore! He has anger issues!" This is break up or success, not "something is happening with my family and I'm really upset and this is super bad and argh!" Also, Fitz did have a point. Sophie never said that she was having weird things happen to her mind when she was with Alden back in Exile. He had a right to be angry. Our dear Sophie isn't perfect, she makes mistakes. In Flashback, don't blame his character. Blame the echoes. Also, how many times has Keefe exploded at his own friends for protecting him and never. said. sorry? As well as running off and hiding info and doing other foolish things without consultation? I'm actually surprised no one dislikes him right now and they still think he is the perfect fit for Sophie.

    • Okay, here’s my theory on the matter. Flashback actually foreshadowed Sokeefe more then Fitzphie, here’s why:

1: Fitzphie happened… really fast. Like, they admitted they liked each other and suddenly they were in a relationship. Usually, the author of a book builds up relationships a lot more. There were Fitz’s gifts and all that, but did we actually know he liked her? He may have just been worried about her, her parents were kiddnapped after all. And a lot of us were like, ooh I hope he likes her it looks like that. But there was no actual buildup… they just go straight into it. Shannon almost never does that. She likes foreshadowing and you can tell. She adds the element of surprise, but when you look back you realize that there was major foreshadowing. Everyone knew that Sophie had to tell Fitz at some point. Everyone knew it had to be resolved. But it just happened, and no one really cared. But Sokeefe has this sort of you never know what will happen feel to it. Sophie doesn’t know Keefe likes her, whereas Keefe is really obvious to the readers. It makes that perfect, sweet and cute relationship of total trust but Sophie has no idea what Keefe really wants, and Keefe is just hanging in there trying to make her happy. Fitzphie isn’t like that, it’s more pushy and fast. We’ve been waiting the entire series for Sophie to tell Fitz she likes him, so there’s no element of surprise, but at the same time it just hit us. There weren’t any real sweet moments, no blind trust, just staring in each other’s eyes. Look at Keefe and Sophie. Sophie trusts. Keefe tries. He listens when Sophie tells him to stop acting like a jerk. Sophie is up front with him. But look at Fitz and Sophie. Fitz barely listened when Sophie told him not to hurt Alvar, she didn’t even really try to stop him. But Keefe? Keefe listens. He knows she’s smart, and that he himself is reckless. That’s the foreshadowing a relationship needs, the you-don’t-know-what-will-happen-but-something-has-to.

2: Fitzphie never kissed. They were interrupted. I can’t believe no one sees this as a red flag for Fitzphie. Look at what happened with Sodex. They kissed, and they both realized this wasn’t what they wanted. It was over, they could just be friends. Now if Fitzphie kissed and it was perfect and all that, I would have given in. But it was interrupted. And Shannon wouldn’t do that if she didn’t have a reason.

3: This is sorta like the above reason. They never made it official. Like, everyone sorta knows. But it isn’t open to the public. They never made it official, and with the whole matchmaking thing it makes me feel like they never will. That brings me to my next reason.

4: Fitz made it clear he likes being the golden Vacker boy. The Vacker Legacy was of course ruined, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to build it up. Even after Alvar’s trial, he told Sophie he liked being a Vacker. And he was so pushy about her registering for a match. He even kept telling her, “I want it to be you.” The thing with that? If you truly loved a girl, you wouldn’t be pushy about them being a perfect match. You’d just want to go and get married. And the cliff hanger was about the fact Sophie can’t be matched. See, that is foreshadowing that Fitzphie won’t happen. And as I already made clear, Shannon seems to like foreshadowing.

5: All of the characters are pretty much okay with Fitzphie. Grady and Edaline are pretty fine, Biana’s more then fine, Marella seems to think it’s okay and even pretty hilarious. Dex I think doesn’t really care, he’s sad Sophie doesn’t like him but has accepted that. Keefe isn’t wants Sophie to be happy. But this isn’t usually how it works in books. There can’t just be a relationship, there has to be a bit of tension. Sokeefe gives that. You might say, “oh see but that cliche and unoriginal.” But honestly? The reason everyone uses it is because it’s so good. We the readers like a little daring in the characters, we all love forbidden love. You might want Shannon to switch things up, but in the long run it’s good.

Anyway, that’s what I think. It’s a little long and rambling, I’m bad with words. But actually I’m really happy with Flashback for these reasons. I’m hardcore Sokeefe and from my view it doesn’t look like Fitzphie will happen. When they make it official and kiss I’ll surreneder, and Sophie’s happy. But until then I’m gonna keep believing.
