  • Convince me that Sodex and Sokeefe are better than Fitzphie.

    • I don't have anything for Sokeefe, because I don't ship it.

I'm split. Dex seems to genuinely care for Sophie, while Fitz has will sometimes respond to things by getting angry. I don't think he has anger issuses.

Dex just really wholeheartedly wants to take care of Sophie. He's never been mean to her. Except for the ability restrictor, but that's diffrent. The council threatened his family, if I remember correctly.

    • Keefe has obviously liked Sophie from the moment he met her. His life is so horrible, and Sophie is the one person he cares about. He would never ever take her for granted or cheat on her. He doesn't even gasp when he sees Linh, because his heart is so fully with Sophie, which is why he would do anything for her and why he doesn't act on his love for her, because he is an empath and knows she has feelings for Fitz and all he wants is for her to be happy. BUT when sophie enhanced him, he said that something changed and he was feeling different things from her. He thinks those feelings are coming from her heart, instead of the feelings she can kind of manipulate that are in her brain. Sophie really thinks she likes Fitz, so she encourages those feelings, pushing down any feelings for Keefe, just like Dex did with his crush on Sophie. Keefe believes this and I'm pretty sure he has some hope because when he was enhanced he could tell that deep down she has some feeling for him. This might not be true, but it;s very likely.

Also, Fitz is a Vacker. He will get anything he ever wants, basically-- so doesn't Keefe deserve to get at least one thing go right? Even Ro, who has probably seen Keefe at the worst of times when he completely breaks down, still believes he deserves Sophie. Fitz can have basically any girl he ever wants-- and are we even sure his feelings for Sophie are very strong? In Flashback, he suddenly starts to like her. But can it really be that strong? Is it true love, the way Keefe has always loved Sophie and is fully devoted to her, or is it just a crush? Because it definitely could be. Just like Sophie's feelings for Fitz are probably just a crush. I also think that Fitz will probably be a Counciller one day, meaning he can't get married. This is just a theory, but there are lots of signs pointting to it-- a big one being that Fitz's middle name is Avery, which means "elf king". If that doesn't prove my point, I don't know what will.

Back to Keefe never taking Sophie for granted-- Fitz, on the other hand, is a good example of taking Sophie for granted. Just because she has a stupid crush on you (sorry), he seems to think he can take her for granted. The main time is when Alden's mind was broken. I get it, he was devestated, his dad was broken. But Keefe goes through just as bad things-- I mean, would you rather have your dad's mind be broken but still have a good mom or have a mom who's evil and a dad who basicaly disowns and hates you? The only thing Keefe does when he struggles is try to help Sophie, either by pushing her away (thinking it's better for her so he isnt dangerous for her), trying to protect her, or fighting (against his MOM) to make her happy and defeat evil. Even when he joined the neverseen, it was his desperate (and stupid, but still) plan to make up for all the evil things his family has done and help sophie. Fitz, though, breaks down with something so small and pushes Sophie away, being so mean and horrible, with things so much smaller than keefe's huge problems that just keep spiraling and spiraling downwards. Even on the cover of legacy, you see fitz staring up at whatever hes staring at-- probably the enemy-- wheras Keefe is looking up at sophie with a concerned look on her face, hoping she's ok. When forkle reveals there's two of him, instead of asking his own questions, keefe goes over to sophie and asks if she is ok. And yet she is still completely oblivious to how much he loves her. SO much stronger than fitz.

Also, fitz doesnt even notice thatt keefe likes sophie so much. I know thtis sounds like a lot, but listen: if your best friend was completely in love with the same person you had a crush on, would you at least adress that problem? Or would you just ignore him and start acting on your crush on the girl (sophie)? Even Alden should have showed a little sympathy for keefe, instead of being a jerk to him and giving him another miserable task-- avoiding sophie and fitz and letting them be together. I know keefe would probably do this anyway, for sophie, but still, Alden was a total and complete jerk and even if you ship Sophitz you have to at least admit that part (read the alden--keefe--ro special chapter thing if u dont know what im talking about, it will rlly change ur mind about sophitz or at least make you feel bad for keefe).

Keefe has a rlly sucky life. He hides behind jokes, and still he tries sometimes to show sophie how much he loves her. And still, she never seems to see how he only has eyes for her.

Does anyone actually end up with their first crush/boyfriend? I doubt it. And books are generally realistic. So doesn't it make sense for her to end up with Keefe? The misunderstood, broken, poor, blatantly in love Keefe?

Just think about it. That's why you asked for us to convince you, so at least read this and think about how amazing they would be together.

    • My one argument is that Fitzphie's rather toxic. Fitz pushes Sophie to decisions she doesn't want to make, and she spends so much time trying to find Fitz's approval instead of focusing on more important things.

In addition, everyone in the story pushes Sophie and Fitz together, telling Keefe (an abused kid used as a prop in a conspiracy) to back off even though he's just trying to find a friend who appreciates him for him - because no one except Sophie truly cares about him.

I agree with basically everything said here... Guys, Sophie is quiet, reserved, and smart. Keefe is funny, cute, and awesome. People say opposites attract and that opposites will eventually end up together. Sophie and Fitz are too similar for them to ever be happy together... there’s a reason the rejected title was rematch!

    • Okay so I said earlier that I ship Sophie but I think something that would make the story rlly interesting is if she finds out who her parents are and then, if lady Gisela or Lord Cassius aren’t one of her parents, FITZ and Keefe are both tied to be her NUMBER 1 MATCH THAT WOULD BE SO DEAMATIC

    • I honestly have to ship SoKeefe. Keefe has been the nicest person on earth to Sophie. Fitz really hasnt. If you remember Exile, you will remember that Fitz blamed Sophie for Alden having a broken mind. But he goes back to normal. He never really had feelings for Sophie, unlike Keefe who has had feelings from the start towards Sophie. And look, Alden forcibly made Keefe not be possible love interest to Sophie because his son has anger issues. You can't just do that. And if you read Flashback carefully, Biana said LIKED not LOVED. It's only a crush so every Fitzphie shiper can cool down. Keefe has always been on Sophie's side. Keefe has an awful past, and when Keefe had met Sophie, he fell in LOVE with Sophie. He never admits it though. Since Keefe is a powerful Empath, he has spotted real feelings for himself. But also knew that Sophie was in a DEEP crush on Fitz. Keefe understood that and decided to see how it worked out. THAT is a true friend. And if you don't believe me, read the whole series again. -AlliKeeperFan

    • personally, i know that this is about agruments against fitzphie, but i honestly think that the sokeefe/sodex/so(insert-other-ship-parts-here) are getting generally desperate for their arguments. i mean, sophie and fitz are practically dating. also, with the whole thing of fitz never supporting sophie and keefe always supporting sophie, that is just wrong. keefe keeps doing dumb things (no offense) from his panics that have to do with his mom being a leader of the neverseen, which keeps making sophie end up practically losing her mind trying to stop keefe from messing up the carefully plotted plans the black swawn keep making. while on the other hand, fitz has literally saved sophie's life several times *cough cough* fading away *cough chough* . i mean, i think keefe and sophie are much better as brother-and-sister type of relationship, not the other romantic one. fitz is honestly just so much better for sophie. plus, with the whole thing about not ending up with your crush/boyfriend thing, have you even realized what kotlc is about? its about making changes to crumbling societies, making your own choices, going with what your heart tells you. sophie's heart is always bursting for fitz, and her mind is sometimes worrying about what keefe might to next from his unfortunately mixed up mind. i think keefe should end up with somebody who has a better way of fixing keefe's worries and problems. because all sophie can manage with her buisyness of the things she has the responsibility of doing. so, in conclusion, when you pause and think about it, fitzphie is the best way to go. the signs are all there. sokeefe shippers, no offense, but sometimes you just gotta know when to bail.

I agree with you that Fitz is not a wholly bad person, but that doesn't mean he works well with Sophie. He's in a rough time right now, and he's dealing with a bunch of suppressed, bottled emotions.

I just feel, as another user said perfectly, Fitz is using Sophie as a punching bag.He lets out his emotions onto her even if she didn't do anything wrong.  He pressures her into things she doesn't seem like she wants to do (e.g. Matchmaking) and he expects her to tell him something in Legacy that she says that she cannot share, but he claims "You should've discussed it with me beforehand."

I wrote on the Keefe and Sophie page:

"Sometimes I miss the old Fitz. Keefe is being such a good friend, still caring for Sophie and not letting his jealousy get the better of him. He lets Sophie lean on him for support despite how conflicted he's feeling inside. But Fitz? He's being controlling and desperate, if you ask me. (I don't think this counts as spoilers given how vague I'm putting it paired with how inevitable it was, but just in case, you've been warned.)

Whenever Sophie hung out with Keefe, Fitz got all worked up even though Sophie thinks of him as just a friend (some might find that phrase rather familiar), though I am hoping that it's only in her head and not her heart. I won't go past that on spoilers, but he makes Keefe feel uncomfortable when he's around with Sophie and, maybe untintentionally, maybe not, pressures her when it comes to the matchmaking thing. Keefe respects Sophie's feelings and doesn't pressure her into anything she might not be comfortable with.

Fitz also, like I said earlier, feels desperate. He can't seem to leave her alone to her do what she needs to do and wants to be apart of everythings she's doing. He was a lot better when he didn't have feelings for Sophie; still, I'm glad we're past that given the abundance of Sophie Flutters during that period. It makes me want to barf with Dex and Keefe over Fitzphie."

I'm a hardcore Team Foster-Keefe shipper, though, so it may feel extreme--but keep in mind that I used to ship Fitzphie. Keefe now just feels so much more genuine than Fitz.

As for Dex well...I was still Fitzphie when Dexphie sank (I pay my respects) but Dexphie would also be a lot healthier than Fitzphie. Dex cared about Sophie a lot, and he wanted nothing but good for her. However, I think I still prefer Sokeefe. In Flashback and Legacy, we get to see a funny and carefree version of Dex that I really love. He doesn't let his feelings get in the way of what he's doing and he's a lot looser. (Plus, I find it very important that Sophie has a friend who understands her while not having feelings for her.)

Once again, I hope nothing I've written offends you.
