  • Welcome, welcome! If you don’t know, 80% of the human population has some kind of superpower, called a quirk! Now, you can be a Pro-Hero as a career! Of course, you need a license...so there are Hero schools to train to get one. Our roleplay centers around U.A, or Yuuei, high! Here’s what’s going on:

Since tons of people are all superpowered, elves can easily claim to be one of them! Therefore, elves now mix in with humans, without telling them that they’re elves, of course. Our characters will be elves, half-elves, whatever, living in Japan. Actually, screw it, you can be a normal Quirked person for the sake of it! Whether or not they know about their elvin heritage is up to you! All the characters will join U.A., but they don’t necessarily have to be in the Hero Course...General Studies and the Support Department are free! There isn’t really much of a super crazy action plot, we can throw in some villain attacks here or there to spice it up.

    Rules:

All roleplayed characters will be OCs, please don’t be the child of some random ship from either fandom or Todoroki or something. You can have a maximum of two OCs, and when you roleplay with them, make sure you do both in one post to save space!

You can rp as random background characters during...say, a class or during lunch, but not excessively. (For instance: Main OC: Hey, does anyone have a pencil? Background character: Sure, here you go!) One person roleplays as both so that we don’t have another’s person reply three hours later to give them a pencil, but other than that, don’t give a backround character a full blown backstory, personality, etc.

If you must, you can BRIEFLY roleplay as a canonical character like Midoriya or Sero..Only during fight scenes or other appropriate situations. (For example: Main OC grinned and lunged at Koda, already into this mock battle. A flock of birds suddenly burst through the clouds, Koda guiding them towards Main OC.)

    ONLY. ONE. ABILITY/QUIRK. PLEASE.

Do not be a Black Swan or Neverseen spy...It’s been like a century, do you really think those organizations will still exist? And why, exactly, would there be elvin spies in a superpowered world?

Ahahah, that was a lot of information, wasn’t it? I’m like an incarnation of our Brocolli Man, Midoriya. Here’s, take this form:

    • Here, use my form as an example if you are still confused:

      Name: Kioku Watashi

What you want us to call you out of roleplay: Loki

Gender: Male (Disclaimer: My actual gender is female.)

      Elf/Quirked Person: Quirked Person

Ability/Quirk: *Present Mic voice* Kioku Watashi! Quirk: Toss’n Teleport! When he throws an object, he teleports to wherever it lands! If he does it more than fifteen times within a half hour, he passes out!

      Course: Support Department

Year One, Two, or Three: Year Two

Appearance: Long, black hair pulled into a messy bun, dark purple eye contacts, Japanese. Dark eye bags under his eyes because he really needs to sleep.

Personality: Kioku is a calm, cool, and collected guy, always pretty chill and casual when with others. He has a good sense of humor, and can be pretty witty and sarcastic when he wants to. He can get pretty serious at times, though, especially when it comes to support items and engineering in general.

Notes/Backstory: Kioku had a pretty normal life. He never wanted to be a hero, as it was really reckless and dangerous in his opinion. Raised by an inventor and a computer technician, he grew up hoping to get into U.A’s Support Department Course. Of course, he has plenty of tricks up his sleeve in case he ever needs to defend himself and others against villains! (He can’t get in trouble for fighting villains with his gadgets, because the law specifically says that you can’t fight villains with your quirk. Gadgets aren’t the same thing as quirks, therefore, it’s not illegal!)

    • Out of roleplay, please call me SparklyMagix, Sparkly, Magix, or Scarlett! My character's name is Raiba Fume, a girl with the quirk Analysis. By looking at someone, she can analyse anything about them. Her eyes glow bright orange when using this quirk. She hasn't discovered any drawbacks yet. She's in the Hero Course, year one. She has orange-red hair tied into pigtails with pink scrunchies, amber eyes, pale skin. she's incredibly protective, polite, cheerful, hardworking. Her cutesy and feminine appearance leads people to think she's incredibly weak, but she's actually a martial arts prodigy, and helps anyone who wants to improve. She's in peak physical condition, and will break arms to defend someone. And the tactical skills her quirk gives makes her one horrible person to be fighting against. [I really hate forms, I prefer writing short essays about my characters, but there is everything you need to know in here.]

    • There are three main courses that are described in My Hero Academia, which are the Hero Course, General Studies, And Support Department. Business course is very briefly mentioned, so we’ll ignore that. The Hero Course is for students training to become Pro-Heroes, basically superheroes, but they’re legal, unlike vigilantes. General Studies is basically normal high school, but like, better? No heroics Studies or anything like that. Support Department works on making inventions and support items for the heroes to use.

      Also, accepted!

    • I think I’ll start after we get three-four more people, or if nobody else joins by Saturday afternoon. We’ll be starting on the first day of school, first class. Since we’ll have different people in different courses, we can’t really communicate with each other except during lunch times, so classes like...I don’t know, Foreign Language, Math, History, or any class that you’d normally find in high school will be mixed courses for convenience! I’ll be any teachers if needed. Also, new joiners, please make sure to have some variety, it would be pretty sad if almost everyone was in the Hero Course! At least have one OC in a non-Hero course if you decide to make two.

    • Alright, let’s get started! I’ll start first:

Kioku yawned as sunlight filtered through the window. He sat there for a few minutes before realizing that today was the first day of his second year in the Support Department Course at U.A. He quickly dressed himself, ate breakfast, and started sprinting to the school.

She had just hung up from a phone call with her little sister, Hoa, who was in Vietnam. Her little sister wa sin eighth grade this year. Huong pulled on the school doors but they were locked. Ugh She thought as she checked her watch. Gotta wait 10 minutes till they open the building She sat on the steps (does it have those) in front of the school, looking around. She thought she saw her friend, Kioku, in the distance. She waved to him.

[I mean, I might have met a fellow first-year during the test but anyways I, removed that.  And Blo, it does have steps. Google UA, should be the fourth photo.]

Raiba sat on the steps, noticing a girl with glasses sitting on the steps. "Oh, hello. What's your name?"

    • ^ (ok thx I’ll look it up!)

Huong looked up to see a girl with orange red hair looking at her. “My name is Huong.” Huong’s voice only had a slight hint of her Vietnamese accent because of how long she had spoken English. “I’m in second year. Are you first year?”

        Loading editor
    • Kioku leaned against the wall, waiting for the doors to open. A good handful of other students were also waiting, and he was sure, that in the next few minutes, many more would come. He checked his watch. Seven minutes left.

The second year Support Course student noticed two others conversing, a first year he didn’t know, and Huong, who was in the name class as him.

“Good morning, guys! Hey, Huong! And, uh, hey random first year. Do you mind telling me your name, because I really don’t want to keep referring to you as ‘random first year’ in my head?” Kioku jogged over and waved.

    • Huong stood up and smiled at her friend, Kioku. “Hey! They still have opened the doors. I wish I’d stayed in bed longer.” She laughed and turned back to the new student. “Yeah, what’s ur name?”

        Loading editor
    • While she waited for an answer, Huong closed her eyes to sense if any other students were on their way. She sensed at least ten more coming all within a 3 mile radius.

    • Kioku rummaged through his bag to make sure he didn’t miss anything, and he suddenly realized that something was in fact missing. “Dang it, I left my textbook on the mechanics of the Hero Course practical exam robots at home. Be right back!”

Kioku pulled out a handful of marbles and tossed one in the general direction of his house. He quickly teleported to the marble’s location, right in front of his neighbor’s house, a solid three minutes away from his home. Kioku quickly sprinted towards his house and grabbed his textbook. He then tossed another marble back to U.A, landing on the steps and stumbling before catching himself.

“Right, where were we? Oh, yeah, introductions. I’m Kioku Watashi, second year, Support Department student! My quirk is basically: If I throw or drop something, I teleport to that something’s location. It’s really frustrating when I drop my pencil and teleport, like, a couple inches away. Plus, when I teleport, the object I used sort of...doesn’t exist anymore.” Kioku quickly rushed through an introduction, deciding that it probably wasn’t a good idea to continue talking about his quirk’s drawbacks, like how he would pass out if he used it over fifteen times in an hour.

      -Loki

        Loading editor
    • Huong smiled at Kioku. “At least your quirk is useful, Kioku. All mine lets me do is sense anyone with a 3 mile radius.” Huong’s phone rang. She pulled it out and saw that her friend, Duc, calling. She said, “Excuse me.” She walked a few steps away and said, “Hey, Duc! What’s up?” Duc replied, “Just wanted to say have a good day! Hey gotta go, I’m helping your dad with the farm today.” Huong smiled and said, “Well, thanks. Have a good day too! Bye!” She hung up and walked back over to her friends. She said, “Just a childhood friend. He wanted to say have a good day.” She tried the door and it opened. “Let’s go inside.”

(Also, could Huong have a crush on someone but it comes up later?)

    • Basic Quirk Historyish Stuff:

80% of the population has some sort of ability or power called a quirk. Ever since the development of quirks, villains started springing up, using their quirks for evil or unjust reasons. Because of that, the age Heroes began. These heroes, called Pro-Heroes, took down the villains legally. Being a Pro-Hero was a paid career, money and everything!

      Hero schools:

Of course, we can’t have a bunch of untrained teenagers using their quirks, so Hero schools like U.A. also came into being. There are four courses you can take at Hero schools-Heroics, Management/Business, Support Departments, and General Studies.

      Hero Course:

To get into the Heroics course of a hero school, you have to pass the written and practically exam. The practical exam involves fighting robots to earn villain points. There is also a huge zero pointer, meant to be an obstacle you have to run away from. Rescue points can also be earned for saving other hero-hopefuls, but nobody except for the judges, faculty, and staff knows that. There are two Hero classes, 1-a and 1-b. 1-A is the most focused on class in My Hero Academia, considering that’s the class the protagonist is in. They choose hero names, go through crazy exercises, make hero costumes, and...generally get attacked by villains every other week.

      Management/Business:

This is mentioned like three times ever. Basically, you deal with money and hero agencies and...stuff. I’m not going to mention the classes.....because Business course is a joke.

      Support Department:

These students make Support gear and other gadgets for heroes and themselves. There are three of these classes, 1-f, 1-g, and 1-h.

      General Studies:

A normal high school education. But you seem more elite and cool, cause U.A, is the number one hero school. Classes 1-c, 1-d, and 1-e.

      U.A staff and students:

...Im too tired, search it up on the My Hero Academia fandom wiki.-U.A. High School. It has a list of all the students and staff, click on the image/name to see their character page.

      More important info:

We’re starting at season one, aka first day of school for protagonist brocolli man Izuku Midoriya And other interesting classmates. Most first years don’t know the others.

All Might is super popular and famous. Everyone loves him. Mostly everyone.

You should probably be in Class 1-A Blo, we can destroy Mineta for you.

Ill play as teachers, villains, etc. if the need arises. Magix can too if needed. I will not be word for word accurate on quotes and scenes.

Blo, you should at least watch some of the episodes of BNHA so you’re not totally clueless when the USJ thing happens. Don’t ask what the USJ thing is, you will learn.

Yeah, somehow, we all get roped into the USJ thing. Let’s say us Support Course kids are there to make sure costumes and other support items are in working condition throughout exercises. Except there are no exercises, thanks Handy Man. (DO NOT ASK WHO HANDY MAN IS...YOU WILL LEARN.)

      That is all.

    • ...There's only supposed to be one Deku in the world...

But anyways, can I just elaborate on the history of quirks? Okay, so quirks are believed to have originated from a virus carried by mice. The first person to get a quirk was a kid in Quingqing, China. The kid had the ability to glow... which is actually a silly quirk that really can't do anything useful. Slowly, quirks became common... but much more useful ones, like telekinesis or becoming huge. And I'mma just skip over the whole All for One crap, cause it would take too many paragraphs to explain.

    • Kioku checked his watch. He had three minutes to get to class, or he would be considered late. Two minutes. He pulled out another marble and flung it across the hallway. There was a brief moment of blankets in Kioku’s head as he teleported in front of the classroom door. He pushed it open and was greeted by the faces of his old classmates from 1-H, as well as his homeroom teacher, Power Loader.

Kioku hoped Huong would’ve come in more quickly. “Good morning, Higari-Sensei!” (Are we doing Japanese last names + honorifics, just last names, or the American way? I can work with any of them, I’d just like your personal opinions!)

    • Higari-Sensei/Mr. Higari/Power Loader/IDK started speaking once the rest of the students filed in. “Alright, welcome back to another year of U.A. at the Support Department!”

“Now, I have some news! This year, the second and third year Support Course students get to help create the support items for the forty first year Heroics Course students! Next week, said students will be turning in their Hero Costume designs. We’ll, essentially, be creating the rough draft versions of their costumes, which we’ll turn in to professional companies. From there, the costumes will be modified and improved.” Power Loader revealed.

Immediately, the students burst into conversations, occasional questions being asked. Kioku, meanwhile, was deep in thought, equations and other scientific-y things running through his head as he considered what Support items might work best with the Quirks he had seen so far of the Hero Course first years.

“I’ll answer questions later. Right now, though, I need you to show me what you’ve learned from your studies over the Summer.” The Support Department teacher gestured towards the back closet. “Go to town. You have two hours to make whatever you want.”

    • Raiba surveyed her new classmates from her desk. The boy with green hair- surprising strong, considering his small stature, managed to take out the 4th obstacle with one punch. Looks terrified. A blond boy glaring at the green-haired one- they seem to have some history, the blond was also strong, though he seemed more like a villain than a soon-to-be hero. She skimmed around quickly, glancing over the weaker ones, trying to keep in mind who the strongest seemed to be. Hopefully she'd get to seem them in action so she could get a more comprehensive analysis.

[First of all, I know we weren't supposed to really mention the canonical characters, but I'm all alone in 1-A. And my character is an information gatherer, what else is she supposed to do?  Secondly, which is Shigaraki? This or this? Lastly, I just realized her natural ability and quirk are exact opposites of Midoriya's. Raiba has natural strength and quirk-enhanced analysis abilities, while Midoriya has natural analysis abilities, and quirk-enhanced strength.]

        Loading editor
    • (You can mention and briefly roleplay as canonical characters, just don’t make them OOC or your main roleplayed character. And Shigaraki is clearly the first image.)

Kioku ducked out of the closet and started working on his craft. For the next two hours, the room was filled with some explosions, gears whirring, tools being used, and lots of smoke. He wrapped up the last part of his machine and hurried up to the front of the class to present.

“So, this is what I created in the time limit. As you can see, it appears to be just a silver arm cuff with a couple of crystals on it. Very fragile looking, too. However, that isn’t the case! If you press the center crystal...” Kioku did just that, and within a moment, a large forcefield dome appeared around him, lasting for roughly two minutes.

“It can be used to get out of a tough spot, but it takes two hours to recharge. I’ll improve it later on, when I have more time. And if you press the darkest blue crystal, this happens.” Kioku pressed the crystal, and the cuff suddenly wrapped around his arm, appearing to be what looked like a silver and blue version of an Iron Man gauntlet.

Kioku proceeded to blast a target he had crafted as a demonstration with the gauntlet. “I based it off of the really old Pre-Quirk movies made by Marvel Studios. For now, this is all the cuff can do, so...yeah!”

Kioku pressed the dark blue crystal again, and the gauntlet turned back into a silver cuff.

    • [Tiny part of me wanting to start an argument is telling me to ask you 'bout your ships.]

    • (Alright...so I’ll start with a semi-safe ship...Uh, KiriBaku?)

Also, important news video about information about Season 4, I know what’s going to happen, but I’m still feeling hyped to see it all animated:

      https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

(Anyways, let’s say that all the courses mix together for normal classes like History, Math, etc. So our characters can meet.)

Kioku heard the bell ring (go with me on this) and quickly dashed out of the classroom, not bothering to remove his cuff. His English class with Yamada-Sensei was all the way across the school, so, to speed things up, he grabbed a paperclip off the ground and through it in the general direction of the classroom. He saw it land...on top of a vending machine.

Oh no. Oh no, oh no, I’m in danger.

With a slight pop, he was sprawled over the vending machine awkwardly. He jumped off of it, ignored the odd looks the other students gave him, and decided to go to class the normal way-walking.

Alright..So, uh...let’s see, English phrases today, huh? Well...The fish is really ugly.

Kioku created random phrases with English words he knew from his first year at U.A. as he travelled to class.

    • [Same! And by the way, THERE ARE NO SAFE SHIPS... 'cept maybe Mineta x A fall off a cliff, or Aoyama x sparkles. And I don't care about arguments, so I'm gonna say that I ship TodoDeku. So, on the roleplay topic, a second year wouldn't have classes with a first-year. So... crap.]

    • Kioku slid into his seat and waited for the other students to arrive. In the meantime, he flipped through an English textbook, absorbing the information he read.

“HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLOOOOOOOO EVERYBODY! CAN I GET A YEAAAAAAAAAH?” Present Mic’s unmistakable voice suddenly filled the room as the Pro hero entered.

      There was a painful silence.

    • "No. And speaking this loud indoors is incredibly rude, not to mention could give students serious hearing damage."

    • (That last sentence made me almost laugh really hard, when I’m pretending to be asleep so I don’t have to get out of bed.)

Kioku shrugged. “This is Present Mic you’re talking to. His entire career literally revolves around screaming at people. Although it would be nice if he had an off button.”

”Rude. Anyways, can anyone translate this sentence on the board?” Present Mic’s voice was still loud, but significantly less...scream-y.

      Nobody raised their hand.

”...You guys are no fun. You, girl with the weird purple eyes!” Present Mic pointed Kioku.

For a moment, Kioku sat there, not realizing who he was talking to. And then, oh.

“Ahaha...I’m a guy...But, uh, the sentence translates to...I like trains?“

      Present Mic shrugged. “American thing.”

    • I probably shouldn't be thinking this, but for god's sake, this teacher is annoyingly loud. I know it's his job and all, but... wow, he's loud. Raiba thought.

[I hate English class. Not in this RP, just in general.]
