Sorry, I sounded like such a teenager! I just mean, I don't really want to go, because there will only be hotdogs and hamburgers, and I'm vegitarean, so I can't eat, and I'll have to eat before I go, and we're walking, and it'll be filled with kids I don't like, with only three or four that I do, out of 150, so . . .

She is 11 has multi blonde hair (lots of shades) Brown eyes (people say she is her mothers twin) a little tall she likes big sweatshirts (to hide herself in) she is a Polygot and a Hydrocentic (her mothers genes affected her ability) she got her abilitys early at 8 years old. she is very close with lihn. you will find her hair in a single braid (her hair is long) or down with or without a headband. her fav color is pariwinkle.Gale and Astrids sister (they are very protective over her) she is very Shy when she sets her mind on somthing, she does it. She has a baby Imp named Lori who is periwinkle writnow.
Katie finished braiding her long copper-colored hair into two french braids, admiring the way the purple highlights she had dyed into her hair weaved in and out of the braids. She grabbed her bag from the floor, and exited her room.
She took a left down the hallway, and came into the room with the leapmaster. It had a glass ceiling, with beatiful colums with curling golden designs climbing up them. "Foxfire!" she yelled, and stepped into the light as a crystal desended from the ceiling. ((gtg!))
Astrid quickly ran down the hall at Foxfire with Gale at her heels. "Welp, here's my stop" she said, skidding to a stop in front of her class door: Alchemy. "Okay, have fun!" Gale said, with a slight bit of sarcasm. Astrid rolled her eyes playfully. "Yeah, yeah. Just remember, you're not supposed to pull off that prank without me" she responeded. It was Gale's turn to roll his eyes. "Alright, see you at study hall!" he said ruffling her hair, and ran off
Katie slid into her desk in her first class: Elvin history. Snooze. Oh, wow, she got to hear her teacher drone on and on about stupid stuffy nobles that made the world worth living in! "Miss Vacker, it would do you well to pay attention!" Lady Carling said.
"Sorry Ma'am," Katie replied, with the slightest hint of almost undetectable sarcasm. "Thank you!" She continued on with the lesson, and Katie went back to daydreaming
Jonea stepped out of the leapmaster, adjusting his dusty brown satchel. He had missed the first few minutes of orientation, as his two younger brothers had thrown a tamptrum and made him late. It was his last year of the lower levels, and he had to work hard to get into the Elite Levels next year.
His first class was Empathy with Lady Kylla. She had been his mentor for two or three years now, so it was really just checking how summer had been and talking about anything Jonea had observed while practicing his empathy. It went fast, and soon he was leaving for lunch. Jonea slipped quietly through Level Six's off-white halls.
Katie finally got out of class, and headed off to lunch. She was looking forward to her PE session this afternoon. And she was probably the only kid at foxfire that was. She just didn't understand what people didn't like about it. She grabbed a bright orange spiky fruit and a bottle of lushberry juice, and headed over to her usaul table, over on the far side of the cafeteria.
After a very injoyable session with Lihn She had a few more classes witch included Elvin history, witch was actually very intresting. Finally it was lunch time she decided to sit with Vena, her older siblings, and a few other people she dident know. she was walking over with her perple fruit, bottle of youth, and slice of mallomelt and sat down. Vena had gotten thaire a few seconds earlier and people were giving her (Vena) looks. "whats up?" Calla asked.
((hey vena? just want to say, remember in foxfire they only have one class in the morning and one in the afternoon. Also, disregard my previous post and pretend Jonea was in Multi-special studies since talent classes only happen on tuesdays and thursdays.))
Jonea sat down at his usual table, munching on a blitzenberry muffin while studying a book on the Universe. It was the same table as Katie, but he didn't often talk to her.
Katie pushed her food around on her plate. She wasn't hungry. That boy that usaully sat at her table sat down. She din't say anything. He was, like her Dad's friends sisters kid, and she saw him at get togethers sometimes, but they hadn't ever spoken. She looked around the cafetria, and Vena caught her eye. They were cousins. Vena had always been popular, but Katie knew from experence that popularity meant people judging your every move. You slip up and, boom, you're some weird nobody. So she stidied as hard as she could, and watched all the kids rise to power, and then fall, and then came the next.

Woah, indeed. I know it's not very normal to have three sibling, but both my parents did, so I guess it isn't a super big deal. I still wish I didn't have little sisters, but my friends has, like, five older brothers, so I can't complain. Most people aroung here have two kids in their families, or one.
Keith walked into the lunch room after his telepathy session and found a seat next to Vena. " Hey Vena! whats up ?" he asked. She seemed a bit irritated and Keith wondered why. Then again, they were at school, so that itself was probably a good enough reason anyway.
"Come on, girl!" You're never going to get popular again like that." Sara said, "You have to know what's going on!" She poked Katie. "Come out from under that rock."
"I don't want to be popular again. It's temporary, and I want to look more at my future, wich is very important." Katie said. "And, might I add, I quite like rocks." Sara snorted. Katie looked offeneded. "They are very intresting."
Janet felt very lonely though. People tended to leer away from her as she was an inflictor. Councilor Terik had told her though that she is the most powerful inflictor that he had ever accounted, even more powerful than the legendary Sophie Foster who happened to be her aunt of sorts.
Calla was bored. her siblings were boring. Her school was boring. EVERYTHING WAS BORING!!!! She decided to walk to her locker 25 min early. she got to it then opend it (Yuck! yep defintly Elwin today) And then she aw somthing moving she nearly screamed when Lulu the Imp popped out.
" Telepathy" keith said as be noticed that Vena had avoided his question. He pursed his lips trying to think of whether to call her out on it or not . It's probably nothing anyway... but " Is something bothing you ? " he had to ask in a quiet tone.
Katie had said her good-byes to Sara, on the pretense of wanting to get to gym half an hour early, but she just wandered the halls aimlessly, not going anywere. She loved seeing the crystal hallways quiet and empty, the winding corridors deserted.
Jonea snatched a glance at the girl left at his table. His cousin, he believed. But Jonea's dad wasn't too close with either of the other Dizznee brothers, so Jonea couldn't be sure. He was often dragged to the reunions, but mainly because of his Aunt Bex, who was fantastic.
Katie walked into the locker room. She was the first one there, and it was completely deserted. She changed into her gym strip, and sat down on a bench, looking around the lockerlined walls and waiting for people to come in.
A slow trickle of girls started to make their way into the change room, and Katie exited into the gym, feeling too crowded. Her footsteps echoed across the gym and up into the domed glass ceiling. The coach wasn't there, so she sat down with her back against the way, and tilited her face up to the ceiling. She watched the fluffy white clouds drift by traveling across the light blue sky, coming from nowhere, going nowhere. She sighed. Kayla Trift walked up to her.
"What are you doing?" she said in her snotty tone. "What a--" Katie cut her off. She knew from being friends with some, bullies where just people with no self esteem.
"I know, I'm a loser, why do I bother in life, bla, bla, bla. I've heard it all before Kayla. Go away." Kayla, thinking up no response, shut her mouth and walked away.
Keiths eyes widen. " Wow !" Then he realises he should probably tone it down a notch and says more quietly " You got an abilty ! thats cool! Why would you be upset abou--Oh." She manifested as a Mesmer. His grandfather had told him about the diffficulties of that. Though Keith thought it was a cool defense against enimies when his father told him stories about using it against the neverseen sometimes, The ability could also make you seem like the enemy. " Well I want you to know one thing Vena, I think you're ability is great ok ? and you should too, It doesn't matter what other people may think of you as long as you're a great person by heart."
Katie thought about whether or not she should go to the party tonight. Vena was her cousin, that was probably the only reason she was invited. Why should she go? But on the other hand, it might get Sara off her case about going to a party. And how bad could it be?
Keith was done setting up the tables and placing out the food. He had arivved early to help Vena set up things for the party, being her friend and all. Vena, though, had yet to show. Her Father said that she was in her room getting ready like 30 minutes ago. Girls can take forever sometimes. Though, in his household it was his father who took forever. How does he even do that, I mean just slap on a cape, shirt, pants, shoes and make your hair and done! Keith shook his head. He decided to head upstairs and see what Vena was up to. "Hey Vena!" He said while climbing up the stairs.
She bursts out of her room. She had changed out of her foxfire uniform and into a mint green dress with pink flowered patterns on the neck and sleeves. "Hey Keith." she said. She had just added a fresh layer of lip gloss and wore silver boots and a silver cape
Katie had switched from her foxfire uniform into a knee-length yellow dress for the party. It had a beaded bodice, and a gauzy materail for the skirt. She had twisted her hair back into a intricate braid, and put on a touch of clear lip gloss. She spun the end of her braid around in her fingers. What if everyone showed up dressed normaly? She stared down at her yellow sandals. She would just go with it, she decided, and she headed downstairs before she could change her mind.
" Oh hey Vena... we match !" It was true for the most part. He was wearing a green jerkin decorated with tiny golden swirls. He had a golden color cape though, not silver like hers. Keith grinned as a thought came into his head." What if we call ourselves the 'Keith and Veen Green Bean Collection '? " then he burst out laughing
Calla changed In to an Ice blue flowy gown, she straightend her hair and parted it like her mom used to part hers. She wore some light blush and a little clear lip gloss. and then lliped in to 1-2 inch little heels with a matching cristal clip in her hair. She got Lulu the Imp and put a little Ice blue head band thingy on her. a few min later she arrived at Venas house.
Katie saw Calla apear on Vena's lawn, and took her in. She was wearing a beatiful blue dress, and her hair was straightened. Katie looked down at her own outfit. Her yellow gown glowed against her olive skin, but now it seemed a bit too bold and weird. She thought she was at the bottom of the social ladder, but maybe it was possible to sink lower still. She wanted to curl up under a rock somewhere and go to sleep. But she squared her shoulders, and knocked on the door to Vena's house.
Janet was hurrying. She was late for Vena's party. 'Aaaaaaarrrrrggggh' she said. 'Why do I always procrastinateeeeeeeee'. She quickly changed into a dark midnight blue dress and added a quick dusting of blush and some rose lipgloss and light leaped towards Everglen.
Straightening his periwinkle tunic, Jonea stepped out of the light and towards the Vacker residence. He was wearing a slightly sparkly aforementioned periwinkle tunic with light pink-ish embroidered birds, and black leggings with (of course) pockets at the ankles. He had done his hair with some slightly sparkly gel, and had some make-up on that really brought out his eyes. His black cape swished in the wind. ((oh gosh this isn't very well-written. sorry))
Katie saw Janet leap onto the lawn, and saw an oportunity to talk to someone. At least then when Sara accused her of going to a party, then not talking to anyone, she could say she did. And maybe she should try and make another friend . . . besides, what'd she have to lose?
"Hi," She said, "I'm Katrina," she winced. Wrong. She had stopped going by Katrina ever since she became a socail outcast. "Katie, actaully. Katie Vacker."
"Oh!" Katie said. She had forgotten for a second Vena and her shared a last name. "This isn't my house, it's my cousin Vena's. My dad got his own house, and Evergen was given to my aunt Biana. But I do know my way around. Do you want to see the best veiw of the lake?"

" Ah, well, would be a tiny problem with me shutting up, because then I wouldn't be able to tell you that you are late to your own party Vena." Keith said in a fake diplomatic voice. lol her annoyed face is hallarious. Keith thought.
Katie sat there, her mind flashing back to all the parties she used to go to. Truth or Dare was a inevitable game. And a very bad game to be involved in. You always had to reveal a dark secret, or kiss your crush, or something else equally horrifying.
Sophie Foster Official wrote: Calla walked through the doors. "Hi Vena!" she aid softly" ((are Vena and Kieth love intrests?))
((they are but they both friendzone each other currently...Also sorry for making this sooo long...))
Keith looked at Calla oddly. I wonder why she thins I wanted to be first...? he ponders it but then dissmisses the though as Vena replies her answer
"Truth." The game has begun.
automatically Keith has a lot of truths on the top of his mind.Keith loved this game, he played it the most with his father who taught him how to be a master at it. How to avoid dares and truths you don't want to answer to or do, how to come up with a creative option out of the ordinary, how to pack up a lot all into one truth/dare and how to effortlessly pull off hard truths and dares. Keith was no newbie to the game.
one look at Vena's face though had all the ideas out of his head. She looked just the way she had this morning when she told him that she was a mesmer...she had hosted the party probably to lighten up her mood, I can't destroy it... Keith thought. It sent him into a spiral of thoughts and then he finally decided to lighten up a bit, only a bit, even if this was out of his nature, because she was probably having a tough day. just this once.He was still going to have a little bit of fun with it though.
" What are 10 things you like about both me and you ?" He asked.
As soon he said the words he wished he could gobble them back up. Me and you ? really? thats not at all what he meant! He didn't mean it as like.... them together or anything... not like a ship! argh!
" I-I mean like seperatly! Like 10 things you like about yourself and ten things you like about.. well yeah.. anyway you can start with number one about yourself go!"
Mabye he was overthinking it no one actually thought of it implied that way.. blame it on his mother, from which he gets the overthinking quality from.
"ok. about you? um 1 your positive 2 your nice 3 i like your ability 4 you have nice hair? i dont know. um about me. i like my personality. and yeah. i cant think of 10 things." she stuttered out. "Ok my turn. truth or dare katie?"
Katie took a shaky breath. She knew how this worked. Should she tell a truth, or do a dare? Well . . . with a dare she would most surely have to kiss a crush, or tell a crush she loved them, but with a truth, she would have to tell her secret . . .
She did eensy minsy minie moe in her head, and got truth. She didn't hesitate to say it, afraid she'd back out.
“I’m terrified of deep water,” Katie said. The half-truth came out smooth and confidentially, reminding her of when parties like this were an every week occurrence. She was super scared of deep water, but her greatest fear . . . if she told someone, it would be making it come true.
((for me, if im in a lake, and i swim out far, i will freak out sooo much. im also afraid of the dark, called nyctophobia. the reson im scared of those things is because i dont know what could be around me, and then my overactive imagination runs away with me, but for the reaction they get out of me, the fears are mostly irrational))
Keith glanced over at Vena, and reaized she was already looking in his direction. He wondered what she was staring at so he glanced behind him. Oh, it's mellowmelt.Keith shook his head and sighed. that girl sure loved food, she's been staring at it for like a minute without even blinking, and now she's blushing, how does someone blush about food? Keith decided that he wanted some mellowmelt too so he hopped up to get some for everyone and to end Vena's misery.
Sophie Foster Official wrote: Calla was waiting for an answer......"I can do truth if you want...."
((Oops, omg, I'm sorry, I've not been on much, I totally didn't see any of this!))
"No, it's okay, dare is fine," Katie said. She was stumped, though. Almost every dare she had seen people do had been kissing, and she didn't want to do that to Calla. She took a deep breath in, trying to stay calm.
"Well . . . I dare you to . . . " Katie felt pressure build up in her chest, squeezing her lungs. "Actaully, I need to use the washroom," she said, and hurried out.
"Thanks!" Katie called. She walked into the washroom and closed the door behind her, locking it. She leans against the sink, looking at herself in the mirror. A couple strands of long bronze hair has come off of her intricate braid. She tucked them back on. She hoped they had moved on from her in the game. She opened the door, and crept past Vena's room, and outside. She went around the house to the lake. Once she got there, she exaimened all the tree trunks until she found one carved with a smiley face. She started to climb the tree, witch was a very climbable tree, until she pulled herself up into a tree house.
The tree house was Katie's favorite place ever. When they were little, Katie's dad help Vena and her build the tree fort. Katie thought Vena had probably forgotten about it, it was a long time ago.
Vena sat there waiting for Katie to come back. She had been gone for, like, 30 minutes now! "I'm going to check on Katie." she said to everyone and went to the bathroom. "Katie?" no response. Vena had an instinct she knew where she was. She rushed downstairs at the speed of light and out to the tree carved with a lopsided smiley face and climbed up. There, Katie was, leaning against the wall. "Katie?"
"Oh," Katie said softly, looking out over the lake. It was the best veiw in the grounds. So Vena did remember. Katie herself had almost forgotten once or twice, too wrapped in friends and school and parties. Katie was glad Vena remembered. It was nice to share her secret place with someone else.
"Uh-huh" Vena said lost in thought. the breeze rippled the water on the lake and Vena's hair blew in the breeze. "You still remember it?" Vena used to come up here whenever she wanted to get away from everything else. She looked around the place, remembering the laughs that once floated through here. Somehow, she and Katie shared the same thought. This was a perfect place to get away. "What happened?"
"Sorry, just truth or dare reminded me of . . . the old days. When I was popular." Katie sighed, looking out at the trees. The breeze swayed them back, and forth, back and forth. The light from the sun was golden as it set, with dark clouds hovering in the sky. The golden light lit up half of Katie's face, and threw the other into shadow.
Katie sighed. "Well, a couple years ago, I was in a popular group. A diffrent one. I guess some people aren't meant for popularity. I was one of those people. I made friend with people I should'nt have, was mean, I was a jerk. My friends were jerks, I just--well, at the time, I thought they were my friends, that they wouldn't betray me," Katie stared at her lap.
"But they did," she siad, letting a hint of bitterness into her voice. "They spread bad rumors, and pressured me into doing things I shouldn't have. They told the principle that I 'did' something, I don't know what, and I got suspended. When I came back, no one would talk to me, even to tell me what a jerk I was. I still don't know what I 'did'. But I like it better this way. I don't bother anyone, they don't bother me. Besides, I have a friend. She was homeschooled, but she convinced her parents to let her come to foxfire this year."
Katie fiddled with her braid. In another world, she would be bullying Sara, not being friends with her. The thought of that alone was enough to make her hate herself. Being popular . . . if you weren't meant for it, it weighed you down, killed you inside. Katie used to spend hours getting ready for school, terrified that she would be humilated if her eyeshadow was a shade off, or she bought the wrong brand lipstick.
"Well, I guess I could've," Katie said. "It's just . . . once I got out of the spotlight, I . . . I got some time to reflect, and I just realised I was a jerk, and even though I didn't do whatever they said I did, I still deserved to be suspended. I got some time to focus on what I thought of myself, instead what other people thought. And that was good for me, I think. I'm not going to attempt popularity again. Nothing lasts forever."
Katie smoothed out her dress, picking a leaf of the skirt, were it had been caught. "Besides, I don't ever want to lose sight of myself like that again."
Katie stood up. "You should probably go back inside," she said. "It's your party, people will probably be wondering. Especailly Keith," Katie raised her eyebrows. She was a socail outcast, but she wasn't blind. She could tell there was something going on.
((there is right? I'm not remembering incorrectly, or something?))
"I'll go check on them." Keith said and he got up and went in the direction Vena had gone. He used his Telepathy to track her down. They were both at the same place, somewhere that Keith hadn't been to in the property, which was weird, since Keith thought he knew the property very well... Apparently not. He thought. He wasn't sure how to feel about that... so he just shoved it back and kept going, where he spotted both of them sitting in a tree house. It was a pretty cool tree house. he gave them a grin. "Aww, too bad you're not a guy Katie." Thank god shes not a guy, that would have been.. well.. whatever. " I could have teased Vena endlessly about how how you're both " sitting in a tree." as the song goes and you could have heard my beautiful singing voice! I always wondered how two people would end up sitting in a tree. Like that rarely happens... but anyway are you two ok ? You've been here pretty long..."
Keith saw Vena eye roll at something in the distance. He looked behind him and sure enough, found the reason. Katie was grinning like that Chesire cat in that one human movie his mother had showen him, with thumbs stiking out in a thumbs up, which she hurridly tried to hide behind her back while acting to look for something. Keith just gave her a confused face. What was that all about? Was Vena playing a prank on him ? Keith trailed behind Ven, treading carefully. He started to wonder " Hey, are you and Katie friends again? " Keith remmembered Vena looking at the scraped smiley face that was etched into the wood with such a bright expression that seemed to light up her face and eyes that gleamed with many happy memories, that Keith hoped so. "What happened anyway? I mean like... if it's ok to tell I don't know...." He trailed off.
Katie sighed, and turned to watch the setting sun. A dull headache was pulsing at the back of er head, and growing with every minute. She sat, down, massaging her temples. She felt a bit nausoues. She climbed down from the tree house and whent through the back entrance she knew the hous had. She didn't want to disturb Vena and Keith. She eaded to one of the first floor washroms, and splashed some water on her face, slurping some water from the tream bursting from the facet a well.
It didn't help. She moaned. Gosh, why now? SHe thought.
She closed her eyes, leaning over the sink. When she opened them, her sight was met with a blinding burst of light.
Katie stumbled back, and hit the wall. The flash of light had gne down, but now everything was too bright. Katie unlocked he bathroom door, and walkedout. She tried to look as normal as possible as she walked down the hallway.
She crossed paths wth Vena as she made her way to the leapmaster.
"Oh, hey, Vena," Katie said, "I have a terrible headache, I'm going to go home. Thank yo somuch," she looked Vena in theye, so that she'd know that she was grateful for the talk outside. She had needed to get that off her chest. "thanks so much for havingme." she said.
"Nightfield," she muttered, and stepped into the light. SOmehow, she managed to keep her concentration together, and she glittered back into existence on the front pathway to her house. The house, evedent in its name, looked the best at night. The pathway sparkled and glowed, and the trees had little fairy light wound around them. The house looed like a gaint ice palace, glimmering in the moonlight. Tonight, the light was blinding in Katie's eyes. Katie set off down the path, and slipped in the door. She went to her room, and curled up in bed. She usaully left her curtains open, since her giant floor-to-ceiling windows faced west, and there wasn't much need for them. Today, it was almost as bright as day for Katie outside, and she closed her curtains, and pulled the covers over her head.
