As a mentor, I'm trying to incorporate monthly check-ins with all of my mentees.
How are you? I can't believe I forgot to reach out to you when I said I would. I don't quite remember what I was going to teach you on that Thursday. Do you? I'd love to continue with the lessons. You made a lot of progress! (this stuff is HARD)
Check it out--it's been a whole month! It kinda snuck up on me... I mean, this now means that school is full on in for some people and starting soon for others! It's also the last month of summer... wow. You've been learning a ton lately, and I'm looking forward to teaching you more as we move into this new month!
now, let's add padding. You can add things to a div tag by inserting them in between a semicolon (marking the end of a sub-command) and the next sub-command. For example, <div style="background:blue;">. You could add a border to that by doing <div style="background:blue;border:2px double yellow;">, or <div style="border:2px yellow;background:blue;">. The padding command is "padding:<insertnumber>px;". If I wanted a lime background, a solid aqua border, and 20px of padding, the command would be <div style="background:lime;border:5px solid aqua;padding:20px">text here</div>.
I'm checking in because the new month has started! I'm definitely excited for Halloween at the end of this Spook-tobery month. Are you? Anyway, as your mentor, I was wondering if you'd like me to teach you anything this month!
Because it's now December, it's also time for a monthly check-in. How's life? I'm sorry I wasn't a good, responsible mentor last month. I'm trying to get more active, though!
Do you celebrate any winter holidays? My family celebrates a really weird version of Christmas were we have this teeny tiny Christmas tree (it's a fake tree that we keep up all year long (we also keep some Halloween decorations up all year long) so it's kinda old), pile giant presents on top of it so it looks even smaller, and then hang some homemade element ornaments and call it Newtonmas. Yeap, we're weird.
Aaaaanyway, anything you'd like to learn this month?
