Chapter 1
“Fitz I can’t tell you who my biological parents are.” Sophie told him. “If Mr. Forkle tells me, I might be able to register, for you. Will you please wait a few hundred years? For Me?”
“Of course I will.” Fitz promised. “We’ll get through this.”
Sophie leaned forward and pressed her lips against his. Fitz pulled away first.
“I’m sorry is it too much, too earl—” Sophie stressed.
Fitz answered by kissing her back. It was wonderful and it totally rocked Sophie’s world.
“I should probably go to bed.” Sophie whispered pulling away even though she really didn’t want to. “Goodnight Fitz.”
“Goodnight Sophie.” Sophie gave him a small hug went to her bedroom. A smile stayed on her face until she saw Grady.
“Call Fitz over tomorrow.” Grady told Sophie. “He and I need to have a little talk.”
“Oh no.” Sophie mumbled.

“Um, Fitz?” Sophie called that night. “Grady wants to talk to you tomorrow.”
“Uh-oh.” Fitz thought.
“If all goes well,” Sophie began. “Can we go on a date after?”
“Well, OF COURSE!” Fitz transmitted.
“Goodnight Fitz.”
“Goodnight Sophie.”
Sophie fell asleep that night with a new thought that she hadn’t had in a while.
Everything’s gonna be alright.
She clung to that as she drifted of to sleep.

She woke up that morning and took a walk, in the pastures. She saw two notes around Wynn and Luna’s neck with teal ribbon.
It read:
You think you’ve won but you haven’t meet us in Loammore. The old market.
The other one said:
Bring Keefe
XOXO,
LADY GISELA.
“We’re really on trouble now.” Sophie mumbled and she ran inside to tell Grady and Edaline.
Grady and Edaline hailed everyone. Sophie already had a plan. But since the Council insisted on coming she made a few adjustments.
“Half the Councillors and Fitz, Maruca, Wylie, Linh, and Edaline will go to the Kings Path. While Keefe, Marella, Grady, The other half of the Council, and I will go to the market I think we will outsmart them this time.” Sophie explained.
No one argued because it was a good plan.
“Fitz,” Grady said. “You and I need to talk.”
