Please post soon! No pressure, but pleeease? This fanfic is awesome and if you decide to discontinue, I will be sad, but I will understand. If something is going on in life that is hard, I get it, and I gift the a virtual hug. You can't feel it, but it's there! I also know that it is exam season, so if it's just stressful, please just update when you can. Keep fighting, you're (probably) awesome, but life happens
Thank you guys!!! I have the next part written so I am typing it out right now and if you guys could just not disturb (oh geez I feel like an author mom talking to her children XD) I will post today if possible!!!
Mr. Forkle appeared at Havenfield later that day, while Sophie and Keefe were talking near Calla’s tree.
“We need everyone to gather together. We’ve received word that the Neverseen are making their move,” the leader of the Black Swan told them.
“How do you know?” Keefe asked, scrambling to his feet and helping Sophie up as she asked,
“When? What are they doing?”
“Our insiders in the council—”
“You have insiders for the council?” Keefe exclaimed, interrupting.
Mr. Forkle nodded. “Sort of. I wouldn’t share that information with anyone if I were you, though,” he said, shooting them a warning glance. “They told us the Neverseen were making their final move—they couldn’t say what—right before the council announced a gathering in which every family had to be represented.”
“Wait… so the Neverseen are using the council? For what? What’s their ‘final move’? How did they get the council to cooperate?” Sophie’s mind flooded with a million more questions as she leaned on Keefe.
But Mr. Forkle just shook his head. “We don’t know. We weren’t able to find out any of that.”
“So… what do we do, then?” Keefe asked.
Mr. Forkle stroked his chin. “We should get the rest of you—including Team Valiant—and go to the announcement.”
Sophie frowned. “Are we going to disguise ourselves, like last time?” She grabbed Keefe’s hand as they all thought, trying to sort everything out in their minds. “What if the council needs Team Valiant for something?” she speculated. \
The man in front of them sighed. “Last time was under quite different circumstances. However, there is a fair probability that it would be a better idea for you to go disguised. Hmm… we’ll discuss it when you kids are all together.”
Keefe nodded. “Where should we go, then?”
Sophie stepped in. “Probably Slurps and Burps, like last time. Right? In case we do end up disguising ourselves?”
Mr. Forkle agreed. Soon they had rounded up everyone—including Team Valiant and all of the bodyguards.
They discussed the prospect of disguising themselves, and after a while decided that everyone but Team Valiant would, just in case—but Sophie, Dex, Stina, Wylie, and Biana would stay as themselves, dressing up in their Team Valiant outfits for the council and the crowd both.
They all geared up with weapons and gadgets, and those outside of Team Valiant took disguise serums. Then, unrecognizable, they leaped away in twos and threes.
When only Team Valiant and Mr. Forkle were left, the team linked hands and leaped away to the site, leaving Mr. Forkle to change into Magnate Leto form and follow.
Once Sophie arrived with everyone in Team Valiant gear, she looked around and saw an already huge crowd even though they were early.
After waiting a few moments near the stage, Team Valiant saw the council glitter into view as fanfare sounded. The crowd—which had gotten even larger—quited quickly.
Councillor Emery, in his silver jumpsuit, stepped forward and began to speak.
“All of you have heard of the Neverseen, the rebel group who is responsible for a lot of death and damage in our world. We have searched for a solution to this problem for a long time. We finally found it.”
