The Timeline to Extinction is what the elves (mainly the Councillors) use to inspire hope in the Lost Cities.
It involves the fact that the elves are determined to not let a single species on Earth go extinct. Since Councillors believe that every species should be preserved and sometimes send teams/people to capture creatures from the wild (including the Forbidden Cities) and bring them to Havenfield or other rehabilitation centers to prepare them for transfer to The Sanctuary.
They saved everything from Dinosaurs to Woolly Mammoths to Unicorns. It is safe to assume that every animal that the humans believe to have gone extinct is thriving at the Sanctuary or rehabilitation centers.
Events[]
In Exile, it was revealed that had Sophie not found Silveny and Greyfell had died without producing any children with a female alicorn, the Timeline would have fallen, and the ecosystem would have collapsed.
