Book 6: Nightfall[]
- Mr. Forkle says that he wants Marella to train with a Hydrokinetic "since there are stronger correlations between abilities that affect the elements." (Pg. 415)
- Tam asks why Marella doesn't want Linh to know about her pyrokinesis, and Marella says she doesn't mind if Linh knows. (Pg. 416)
- "Linh worked with Marella, learning to control their abilities." As told to Sophie, Marella would start a flame, Linh would extinguish it, and Marella would turn the water to steam.
Book 8: Legacy[]
- Marella and Linh show up at Havenfield together with Maruca.
- When Sophie asks Marella if Linh has a crush on Keefe and then says she shouldn't have asked, Marella says, "Probably not, but maybe not for the reason you're thinking." The "reason" Sophie isn't thinking about could be that Linh likes girls, or that Linh has a crush on Marella. Marella then says, "And on that bombshell— I'm out!" She then leaves in the same direction that Linh had gone. (Pg. 387)
- Marella hugs Linh after she talks to her brother. (Pg. 408)
- Marella offers to go with Linh to Choralmere to protect her. (Pg. 414)
- Marella tells Sophie that she thinks that Fintan is impressed with Linh during the time she went along with her to her pyrokinesis training.
- Marella and Linh hold hands.
- When the gang is about to go to Loamnore, Marella tells Linh, "If you're there, the Neverseen can use you to control Tam." Linh replies, "But if there's a fight, you're going to need me. You're going to need me (emphasizing Marella)".
- Because Marella is a Pyrokinetic, she's excluded from going to Loamnore, and Linh isn't invited either. However, the two of them go anyway with Keefe. (Pg. 729)

Trivia[]
- Linh and Marella have seemingly opposite abilities; Linh controls water, while Marella controls fire. They also have opposing personalities. This could make for an 'opposites attract' situation.
- Marella's name means "shining sea" or "star of the sea" which is kind of ironic considering she's a Pyrokinetic, and though it is a stretch, these could be references to Linh's ability of water.
- Linh and Marella are working on a way to combine their talents.
- Linh was on standby while Marella trained with Fintan.
- Linh and Marella are said to be training "a lot" together by Wylie.
