Keefe's Journals are four journals first mentioned in the first few chapters of Legacy where Keefe records his memories.
Keefe began recording his memories in an attempt to figure out what his mother's plans might be. The four journals were originally kept in the bottom of a false drawer in Keefe's room at the Shores of Solace, protected from Lord Cassius and other potential snoops by a tripwire. After the events of Unlocked, Keefe ran away and took the journals with him.
Brown[]
Keefe's brown journal is used to record happy memories. Some of the memories Keefe mentioned that are in this journal are The Great Gulon Incident, playing tackle bramble with Fitz, and gazing into the flames of an aurenflare with the Vackers. He says the happy memories are not as important as the others because his mom is never in them.
Unlike the other journals, Keefe claims that the color of this journal isn't significant, saying "it was the only one he had left". It is also possible that he chose it to match the color of Sophie's eyes.
Gold[]
Keefe's gold journal is used to record memories he doesn't want others to see. Because of this, the contents of the journal are currently unknown.
It's possible that the color of book is related to the memories that Keefe hid from Sophie and Fitz when they searched his mind in Flashback, as he tinted those memories gold.
Green[]
Keefe's green journal is used to record "hard stuff." One of the memories in this journal is Fitz and Sophie's Cognate training.
This journal is green because the elves traditionally wear green at plantings.
Silver[]
Keefe's silver journal is used for important memories. One of the memories in this journal is Ethan Benedict Wright.
This journal is silver because silver is the color of the last Elite level.
