Lost Cities Keeper Wiki

Silveny, nicknamed Glitter Butt by Keefe Sencen, is one of the last four alicorns known to exist, and the second alicorn found. Sophie Foster accidentally stumbled upon Silveny in a forest, while she was tracking what she thought to be a sasquatch's thoughts in Exile. Sophie was entrusted with the task of training the alicorn by the Council, as she was the only one Silveny trusted. Later, Keefe gained Silveny's trust, and Grady hoped that she was warming up to people. Silveny was moved into the Sanctuary to live with the other alicorn found, Greyfell. Soon enough she warmed up to him and they got along well. Of course, this was after a few disagreements. She gave birth to twin alicorn babies, Luna and Wynn, during Flashback. As of Legacy, Silveny and Greyfell are roaming freely with Luna and Wynn as a loving mother, partner, and friend.

Appearance and Personality[]

Silveny is a silver alicorn with a glittery mane and tail. Silveny is described as having a coarse purple tongue. She has an energetic and spirited personality, often sending Sophie excited, repetitive transmissions. In the beginning, the only person that Silveny trusts is Sophie, but she later trusts Keefe as well. Since her feces are also glittery and it shimmers, Keefe Sencen nicknamed her ‘Glitterbutt’, much to Sophie's dismay.

Abilities[]

Silveny is able to transmit thoughts to Sophie, such as "FRIEND!", "FLY!" and "BABY!", always in capital letters, likely indicating the volume of the transmission and Silveny's excitement. After Keefe befriended her, she started transmitting "KEEFE!" as well. Many nights, Silveny helped Sophie sleep by transmitting her relaxing images of places she's travled and soothing words. It was also discovered that Silveny was able to teleport to other places, after taking Sophie to a valley once when the Elvin Council came over to Havenfield to inspect how well Sophie was training her.

Silveny

History[]

Exile[]

In Exile, Sophie accidentally finds Silveny when she's looking for a sasquatch together with Grady and her bodyguard, Sandor. Eventually Sophie light leaps Silveny and herself back to Havenfield, where she is placed in the pterodactyl enclosure until they get the Cliffside enclosure ready. When the new enclosure is ready Sophie helps convince Silveny to go into it. Later on, the Hekses scare Silveny by trying to take her away but ends up staying at Havenfield. Silveny will not let anyone get near her except Sophie and Keefe. Sophie tries flying on Silveny, but ends up in sparkly horse manure. Soon, they contacted the Councillors about this new update and they arrived promptly to see Silveny and were all not impressed with the fact that Sophie was covered in glittering feces. When night comes, Silveny frequently transmits words or images to Sophie, expressing her thoughts and feelings. Sophie then gives a flying demonstration to the Councillors (and Keefe) outside of the enclosure, accidentally resulting in being teleported somewhere else. Sophie light leaps herself and Silveny back. While Sophie is being treated for being faded due to the light leap, Keefe is able to get her back inside the enclosure. Silveny likes Keefe after that, and is always shouting and transmitting "KEEFE! KEEFE! KEEFE!" to Sophie. When Sophie needs to go to the Black Swan so her abilities can be healed, she and Keefe fly across the ocean on Silveny's back. After Sophie is successfully fixed and they try to leave on Silveny, the Neverseen comes out of nowhere and tries to capture her, during which Silveny injures her wing badly. The three of them managed to teleport back to Havenfield, where they find all 12 fuming Councillors because Silveny is injured greatly. They thought about exiling Grady, since he gave her permission to go, but changed their minds when Sophie heals Alden afterward. On the night of the eclipse, Sophie and Silveny are the finale. Due to Silveny’s injured wing, they were unable to fly. To successfully perform the final stunt without flight, they jump off a cliff and teleport there. In the end, Silveny flies for a short period of time, after which the Councillors escort Silveny into the Sanctuary.

Everblaze[]

Sophie and Keefe do visit Silveny at the Sanctuary near the beginning of Everblaze because she was having trouble living with the other alicorn, Greyfell. Sophie learns that is because the Neverseen placed a tracker in Silveny's tail while she was sleeping, making Greyfell afraid of her. Once the tracker is removed, Greyfell and Silveny begin to get along. The Neverseen have always been after Silveny because she is a symbol of hope for the Elvin world, and they only want chaos. They also want Silveny because she is a valuable bargaining chip as she resets the Timeline to Extinction.

Neverseen[]

In Neverseen, Silveny transmits to Sophie while she is with the Black Swan. During Cognate training, Fitz learns to transmit to Silveny and she starts to trust him. Later, Silveny shows images to Sophie, one of which is of Silveny and Greyfell “playing.” Sophie realizes this isn't actually playing, and really mating (subtly), and is rather disgusted. Silveny then transmits to Sophie “baby,” a word that she had never taught her, and Sophie realizes that Silveny is pregnant. Near the end of the book, Sophie decides it would be safer if Silveny and Greyfell were free, so the Neverseen couldn't find them. The Council agrees, as long as Sophie checks up on her daily. Silveny and Greyfell fly away to the wild, with Greyfell seeing his first real sky in many years.

Lodestar[]

After confronting Alvar, Ruy, Brant, and Keefe in a Neverseen hideout, Sophie, Tam, and Fitz capture Ruy and Brant. With not enough strength to carry them back to the Lost Cities by themselves, Sophie transmits to Silveny for help, who soon picks up on Sophie's stressed mood and asks if she needs help. Even though Sophie doesn’t know where she is, Silveny promises to find her and within seconds she and Greyfell had teleported to the Neverseen hideout. Silveny’s belly is noticeably bigger. The way Silveny found her so quickly makes Sophie realize that her ability to pinpoint the location of someone by their thoughts came from her alicorn-inspired DNA. Silveny asks if she can bite Ruy and Brant when Sophie tells her they are bad people. Sophie and Fitz climb onto Silveny's back with Ruy's unconscious body in tow and Silveny flies up to a high enough altitude to teleport back to Foxfire, updating Sophie on her baby. Later, when Silveny and Greyfell prepare to teleport away, Silveny picks up thoughts from Sophie's mind about Keefe. Right before she teleports away, she transmits to Sophie, "KEEFE GOOD SOON!"

Nightfall[]

While Elwin heals Keefe's wounds, Sophie steps outside the room and calls Silveny. Silveny takes a while to respond, but when she does, she is as energetic as ever. Silveny assures Sophie that she and Greyfell are safe and doing well. When Sophie tells her she should visit soon so Vika Heks or Edaline can check on the baby, Silveny refuses, only insisting that she will visit later. This is odd because Silveny is usually asking Sophie nonstop for a visit, while now she is flat-out refusing one. Before Sophie can ask any more questions, Silveny abruptly terminates their connection with the last assurance that she is busy and will talk soon. Later, Silveny allows Amy to ride on her.

Flashback[]

In Flashback, Silveny refuses to visit Sophie for a checkup, which nearly costs her babies their lives. Near the end of the book, Silveny transmitted to Sophie that she was in pain. It turns out that she had gone into labor early. Vika, Stina, and Edaline find out that it is because Silveny was carrying twins, and her body could no longer support them. The babies were born prematurely, so with the help of Tarina, they were put into a special troll hive to fully develop. The twin alicorns were named Luna and Wynn by Sophie and Keefe. In the end, Silveny is forced to transmit to Sophie, telling her to bring Keefe and Tam. She and Greyfell then get shot with soporidine but get healed shortly afterward.

Book 8: Legacy[]

Silveny and Greyfell continue to parent Wynn and Luna. She also helps Sophie with her dreams at some points in the book. When Sophie tells her that Wynn keeps getting into the Gorgodon enclosure, she transmits back, “BABY STRONG! BABY STRONG!”

Book 8.5: Unlocked[]

Silveny continues living at Havenfield with Greyfell, Wynn and Luna.
