Biography
- Presented on the back of books
"Shannon Messenger graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts where she learned--among other things--that she liked watching movies much better than making them. She's studied art, screenwriting, and film production, but realized her real passion was writing stories for children. She's the bestselling author of the middle-grade series, "KEEPER OF THE LOST CITIES", and the "SKY FALL" series for young adults. Her books have been published in numerous countries and translated into ten different languages. She lives in Southern California with her husband, Miles, and an embarrassing number of cats."
She absolutely loves cupcakes, and was inspired by "Legolas" (from J.R.R. Tolkien's works) and the "X-Men". Her series, "Keeper of the Lost Cities" (as of 2012) is now a New York Times Bestseller.
(Psst, she currently has 6 cats), and has a loving husband named Miles who she often tweets about. (She says he is so nice, and refers to him as "The Hubs.")
