Quinlin's Receptionist was planted by Bronte to spy on him at his office in Atlantis. When Sophie arrives to Atlantis in the first book, Quinlin leads them upstairs to avoid the receptionist hearing them. She was taking notes, and "clearly eavesdropping."[1] He comments that she is not very good at her job.

In Unlocked, Oralie reveals to Sophie that she was the one to suggest having a receptionist eavesdrop. This was so that Oralie could monitor Alden and Quinlin's investigations about Sophie. Oralie had the receptionist report back to her rather than Bronte.
