Quicksnuff is a powder that elves use to put out fires quickly. It is not effective on the famed Everblaze, which needs the much more powerful Frissyn, to be extinguished. It is only mentioned a few times in the books, but most elves use it to extinguish all fires except Everblaze. At the time of Book 1: Keeper of the Lost Cities, Alvar mentions that humans have not figured out to make Quicksnuff. Later, in Nightfall it is mentioned that Kesler Dizznee used his alchemy skills to make a concentrated form of Quicksnuff for Marella Redek after she manifested as a Pyrokinetic.
