Pterodactyls or Pterodactylus[1] are winged flying creatures, often associated with dinosaurs. There is a gnomish food, cravettels, that are mentioned and apparently taste like pterodactyl to Verdi the Tyrannosaurus rex.
A Flareadon is a rare type of pterodactyl with the ability to be fireproof, and the only type of pterodactyl described or encountered by any of the characters so far.
