I consider h--- to be a curse word. As to the edits on the page, continuing to do so after being asked to stop violates this wiki's policies. I really don't want to offend anyone by it; it's just that very few people seem to consider it a slur. Several have said they identify as it and would like it to remain on the page.
Is there a compromise you would agree to? Perhaps a note at the top of the page?
it literally is a slur, though. even the people who have argued in favor of keeping it on the page have identified it as a slur, though unfortunately their comments stating as much seem to have been deleted so i cannot provide screenshots.
either you allow slurs or you don't. as of now, you don't. so you shouldn't allow that one just because some users like it.
many young people from more liberal areas tends to consider "d**e" more offensive than "q***r;" however, people my age and older, as well as people from more rural areas, often view it the other way around. it all depends on where you grew up, how old you are, your experiences, etc. both are slurs. either both should be allowed, or neither.
i grew up with that word being used derogatorily against me and other lgbt people, never positively. i respect that others may have different experiences, but my point is: it's still a slur. it's still considered offensive and inappropriate. just because someone hasn't been personally targeted by a slur doesn't make it not a slur. most of the people claiming it's fine are very young, presumably from more liberal areas, and have likely not had to face harassment where it is used in a derogatory way. which is great! i'm glad for them. but they are not in a position to ignore other people's negative experiences with the slur, which is, indeed, very much a slur.
Maybe you won't see this, but I owe you an apology.
I'm sorry for arguing back. I shouldn't've.
I'm sorry for being rude. I admit that I was. It's not fair that you got blocked while I still participated in the argument.
I'm sorry for making it seem like I thought your opinion wasn't valid. Everyone has a right to their own thoughts. And it's true, the word on the page doesn't have a pretty history, so I understand why you wouldn't want it on here.
I was rude. I made mistakes. I didn't really try to consider the other people's, including yours, sides of the argument. And btw, you'd be an awesome lawyer, your debating skills are really good.
i also made a really important report about a particular user a while back and didn't even receive a response to it; instead i got a warning for making the aforementioned user "uncomfortable," because i'm not allowed to call out sketchy behavior now, i guess
People aren't always truthful. For example, I once told someone that I got a degree in Goldfish Gastronomy, when in fact I was booted out for accidentally setting fire to my instructor's hair. And my own hair. And everyone else's hair. Etc.

THAT'S STILL SO GROSS OH MY GOD
i'm not even eighteen yet and even i am not at all attracted to pre-teens/young teens, because i'm, not a pedophile
If you have received this, know that you have been blocked from the wiki for a time period of 1 to 7 days because you violated the wiki's policies or guidelines. Once the allotted time is up, you will be allowed to participate on the wiki again. Please review the KoTLC Wiki Policies and Guidelines.
^you are not allowed to say bad words on this site!!!!!!! Though, maybe if you stop being soo rude to people on this wiki you won't get blocked!!!!! OH! And if this is a --- site, why are you still on here? If you don't like it just stop coming here!!!!! JUST A SUGESTION!!!!!
Also, I saw the message on your wall. First, I thought I gave sufficient warning in other places, but I'm sorry if you think I blocked too quickly. I'm willing to shorten the block if you would like to appeal it. And I agree that comment was inappropriate. Where did you report it? I can check up on that.
Wanting innocent people to die, for example, is morally wrong, and I can say that. Thinking that pi = 3, for example, is factually wrong, and I can say that, as well.
also, no?? it's not a red herring??? i'm not attempting to redirect anything; i'm addressing things head-on, by, yknow, saying that wrong opinions are wrong and then explaining why that's the case. jesus christ haha what are you doing
I know I shouldn't get involved but I do think that all opinions should be told whether they are right or wrong. People all have something they believe in. Most opinions on life come from how their parents raised them. If someone's parents were racist they will they have a higher chance of also being racist. I am not saying it is right to show hatred towards someone for their appearance or race because it isn't but someone can't help how they were raised. But, someone's opinion can be changed. If you do try to change an opinion, try putting it in nicer words because you get nowhere if someone feels they are being attacked. I do agree telling people the pi is actually equal to 3.14 but that is a fact. Not opinion. What I am trying to say is please respect people's opinion more. Thank you.
Am extremely sorry if this came off as rude or offensive in any way. Please know I did not mean it to come out that way at all.
P.S: I forgot to mention, Innocent people should not die and I am sorry if anyone has said this to you. Wishing death on anybody is absolutely terrible and insensitive.
>I do think that all opinions should be told whether they are right or wrong
i mean, homophobia, racism, and opinions such as those increase suicide rates, so it's literally killing people. i support free speech of course from a legal standpoint, but words can and often do hurt, and incorrect opinions can be incredibly damaging; we need to realize that.

i was raised in an extremely homophobic, sexist, authoritarian environment, and i am none of those things. not that it wasn't difficult to deprogram myself. but i do think individuals have responsibiblity over their own opinions, regardless of their situation.
>I do agree telling people the pi is actually equal to 3.14 but that is a fact. Not opinion.
well, the bible says that pi is 3. therefore, the bible being incorrect is also, by your logic, not an opinion, but a fact. but i digress.

"And he [Hiram] made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one rim to the other it was round all about, and...a line of thirty cubits did compass it round about...." — First Kings, chapter 7, verses 23 and 26
The Q word originated as a slur, literally meaning "weird" or "wrong." It has been reclaimed by some people, yes, but that doesn't mean it isn't a slur anymore. Reclamation is a personal decision, not something to be pushed upon entire communities, and not something to be done on a family-friendly wiki.
Hey, I'm really sorry if you think that I was targeting you when I said let's be civil on the forum you posted. I didn't mean to target anyone in particular, I just didn't want anyone to think that so-and-so was trying to be rude....

We face challenges in life, only because we can overcome them. Nothing is impossible, and certainly not the challenges of life. We are all given life because we can live it and overcome everything thrown at us. But most of all, we should never ever forget that people can and will help us, if we only ask. And there are points where I'm sure we all want to give up. But giving up won't solve anything. And the only way you can ever fail, is if you give up.
And when you give up, you leave behind the millions of chances that are possible in each and every day.
