Mermaids are a species mentioned briefly in Everblaze. Sophie finds a scroll in Edaline's office titled "Monitoring Mermaid Migration" and remarks that it sounds fascinating. Nothing else is known about mermaids. It is confirmed that Iggy will have mermaid colouring in Book 8.5: Unlocked. It is not known whether or not there is a reason for his color.
