“...shimmering crystal tower that straddled one of the widest, most bustling canals. Half of the structure stood on one side of the dark water and half on the other, angling toward each other and merging to form a massive twisted spire. It wasn't the tallest building on the street or the fanciest. But it was definitely the most intimidating- probably because of the round silver medallion set into the center of the arch, embossed with a very specific symbol: a giant M shaped from two strands of DNA.”
The Matchmaking Office is located in Atlantis. Runes around the medallion say "Progress, Prosperity, Permanence, and Proliferation". About 20 steps up the walk are two enormous silver doors stamped with the matchmakers' symbol. The doors lead into a big white foyer lit by a crystal chandelier. The floor has a glittering mosaic of the matchmakers' symbol. Across the room is a curved, sweeping staircase leading up and over to the center of the canal. The staircase leads to a glass room filled with throne-like chairs. When registering for the match, one takes a seat in these chairs and waits for the matchmakers. The matchmakers are alerted to your presence by your registry pendant and come and take you down a glass hall lined with silver doors. The matchmaker presses their hand into a black panel on the last door. The door opens to a small cold square room with mirrored walls. You must wait by yourself for the matchmakers. One of the mirrored walls splits open and two matchmakers enter. They wear white gowns and clutch glass squares. In sync, they move to stools that rise from the ground and sit. They move completely in sync. They greet you, not talking in sync and tap.their glass squares, causing them to light up. They verify some basic information and tap their screens to start the matchmaking process.
Elves go to the matchmakers' office to register for the match, pick up and turn in their match packets, and pick up their lists.
