King Enki is the former king of the dwarves. The dwarves of the Black Swan check in with him, and he knows who they are. However, the elves can't force King Enki to reveal the names of the dwarves because technically they are working peacefully with the elves, only the elves they are working with are in the Black Swan. He attended the Peace Summit.
King Enki supported the Black Swan but is not necessarily against the Councillors. He lets the group use Alluveterre, an underground cavern containing a thriving forest, before it was compromised. He is also the one who provided the group with magsidian to light leap out of Exile.
In Book 8: Legacy, he reveals that he made a deal with the Neverseen and assisted with Lady Gisela's procedure performed on Keefe. He claims that when it became clear that the Black Swan wasn’t gaining the upper hand, he switched sides to the team that “was going to win.” He is sent to Exile, specifically the Somnatorium, for his crimes. Sophie’s former bodyguard, Nubiti, was chosen as the Queen in his place.
King Enki, like other dwarves, has a pointy face and nose. He is also bald because the dwarves, a very hairy species, consider it a show of strength for their leader to wax himself bald. His skin is a mottled mix of brown and grey.
