“She wasn't as burly as other goblins, but she made up for it with an uncanny grace that allowed her to sneak up on pretty much anyone.”
Grizel is Fitz's goblin bodyguard and is introduced in the fifth book, Lodestar.
Biography
Grizel is described as "competitive" by Sandor, and she likes to make a game out of anything and everything. She is also described as having feelings for Sandor, and Sandor confirms this by saying "she has gone to lengths to make that abundantly clear." Apparently, she joined the Elvin Regiments (goblins that serve the elves) just because Sandor joined it, and was even offered a position with the Goblin Queen's royal guard, but refused.
Appearance
Aside from her the regular goblin appearance, she is also described to extremely lean compared to Sandor, but her "stealth and grace" made up for it. She has a long, silky ponytail.
Relationships
- Fitz (charge)
Grizel has been guarding Fitz since she was first introduced in Lodestar. In Flashback, she has Fitz do some goblin military training to work off his temper. She teaches him how to throw a goblin throwing star and makes him do 50-100 dead drops (sort of a handstand push-up) whenever his temper flares up.
Grizel has a serious case of crush-its for Sandor, so much so that she joined the Elvin Regiments and denied joining the royal guard, all for Sandor. She makes a game out of search just so she can force Sandor to dance with her.
