Flitterwings are insects that are attracted to the rare flowers called splendors. They have been called both Flickerwings and Flitterwings in the books. They are described to be fragile creatures that glow similarly to fireflies. They also have venom in their teeth.
In Exile, Flickerwings are used as a part of the Foxfire celebration, along with glowing fungus.
