Flareadons are eagle-sized pterodactyl-like creatures. They are gold with fire-resistant fur and are fairly uncommon. Flareadons usually live near volcanoes for they require fire to maintain a normal body temperature, and what elves would consider a normal temperature would be deadly to a flareadon.
Known Flareadons
Gildie: A female flareadon that lives at Havenfield. It was discovered that the Black Swan most likely led her there for Sophie to find, and later get help from to bottle Everblaze in the first book.
