Fade Fuel is an elixir that helps bring people back after partially fading away. It is sold at Slurps and Burps One of its main ingredients is limbium. Elwin had Kesler make a special limbium-free fade fuel for Sophie because of her allergy to it.

Sophie is given a necklace with fade fuel to wear around her neck due to the incident of her almost fading in Keeper of the Lost Cities and the frequency of her almost fading in Exile before her abilities were fixed by Mr. Forkle towards the end of the book.
