The Enlightened Language is the universal language that the elves and all the other intelligent species (excluding humans) speak. It is said to sound like a baby babbling to normal humans. Elvin newborns start speaking the Enlightened Language from the moment they are born. After Sophie's human family's memories were wiped in Book 1: Keeper of the Lost Cities they were given a subconscious understanding of the Enlightened Language. Currently, not very much is known about the language.
