E.L. Fudges are human cookies shaped like elves. Most cookies have the elves' names on the cookies (Ernie, Fast Eddie, Buckets, and so on). They exist within the real world and the Keeper of the Lost Cities universe.
In the first book, Sophie's mom brings her some E.L Fudges. In Legacy, Keefe begs Sophie for E.L Fudges after learning that they are shaped like elves, as he finds this fact hilarious. Sophie gets them for Keefe when she regains her memories with Amy. Keefe is disappointed at the taste but adores the names of the elves. Keefe acknowledges that Elwood (the cookie) looks like him, Sophie agrees, saying "He has your smirk."
