Dire Wolves are a type of wolf that went extinct in the human world. The Council chose this animal for Sophie’s Team Valiant symbol to show that she was more than a survivor and that she had what it took to take on the Neverseen. Grady and Edaline also have at least two of them at Havenfield. They are also mentioned in Lodestar when Kesler mentions that the triplets tear apart the house like a pack of dire wolves.
