Councillor Darek is the Councillor with the best telekinesis. He is seen in Lodestar when he uses his telekinesis to reveal part of Foxfire by lifting a tarp after it was repaired. He did that to show off his skill and to prove that skills are just as useful as abilities.
For example, a conjurer could have made the tarp disappear easily, but what would a Mesmer have done? He was showing that anyone could have used telekinesis to lift it if they learned the skill, which is why skills are so important.
In Flashback, it is revealed his circlet has rubies in it.
