Candleshade • Shores of Solace
Candleshade is the main estate of the Sencen family. According to the map in Unlocked, it is off the west coast of Canada.
It is also known as the "ominous tower of doom" as stated by Sophie in Everblaze.
Ever since Lady Gisela was revealed to be a member of the Neverseen, Lord Cassius has mainly resided at his beach house, and, as of Legacy, Keefe is staying at the Shores of Solace as well. Sophie mentioned that Candleshade looked "dark and abandoned" and wondered if anyone was even still living there.
Description[]
Its vast size displays the luxury and power of the Sencen family.
It's an incredibly tall castle, one of the tallest in the Lost Cities, made up of one main tower that goes up about one hundred floors before splitting into smaller towers, each with a roof of gold.
It has no windows, and the walls are made of smooth glass. The entrance to the building is a small golden door. Behind the door is a foyer, empty except for a silver spiral staircase that goes up and up and up. The floor is smooth and black, and the inside has the same crystal walls, but glowing with tiny pricks of balefire.
The castle is over two hundred stories tall altogether, with the Leapmaster 10,000 on the two hundreth floor. The family owns a vortinator, a staircase that rushes whoever's on it to whatever floor they'd like. It functions as a super-fast, spiraled escalator. Lord Cassius also has a giant lumenite statue of himself in Candleshade. Ro mentioned that it screamed "overcompensating."
The Unlocked Description[]
This towering skyscraper of a residence is one of the tallest structures in the Lost Cities, with at least two hundred stories. Owned by Lord Cassius Sencen - but unoccupied since the family fell into scandal (after Lady Gisela Sencen was discovered to be a leader of the Neverseen) - Candleshade is equal parts impressive, intimidating, and devastating. A hundred stories up, the main building splits into a series of narrow towers, each crowned with a curved golden roof that looks like a flame. Decor varies from floor to floor - some rather simple, some quite ostentatious. (One room even includes a life-size statue of Lord Cassius.) And while numerous searches have been made of the property since Lady Gisela's ties to the Neverseen came to light, little has been found. But given the enormity of the property, many suspect that Candleshade still hides vital secrets.

- Lady Gisela (formerly; when it was found out that she was working with the Neverseen, she had to move to not get captured)
- Keefe Sencen (formerly)
- Alvar Vacker (temporarily)
Known Rooms[]
Keefe's Bedroom (Former)[]
Keefe's bedroom is 3 stories tall.
“It was one of the fanciest places seen - sparkling crystal walls, swirling chandeliers, and tons of ornate furniture in shades of black, white, and grey.”
Statue Room[]
This is the room that has a giant statue of Lord Cassius.
Keefe‘s Room of Honors[]
This is where Keefe's achievements are to be kept. Almost nothing is here, as Lord Cassius doesn't find anything praise-worth about Keefe. Lord Cassius dedicated a room of his house to all of Keefe's honors, but it currently only houses a pile of detention slips.
Lord Cassius and Lady Gisela's Former Bedroom[]
Where Lord Cassius and Lady Gisela slept for a short amount of time.
Unknown Room on the 33rd floor[]
Not much is known about this, just that it exists.
