Okay so this is like a short story about how a Keefe goes through plan z and Sophie’s time in Mr.Forkles mind and the after
Thanks for reading I think I will continue this in a few days just to boiuld up ausspense probably the Monday after thanksgiving break because I’m getting back from a trip then
Chapter 5: The shock
Sophie froze. She was so shocked that her mind didn’t even register what was happening. Time slowed down. And she reached out to grab the knife.
It turned away from her, clattering to the grassy ground. “How did I just do that?” Keefe’s eyes were back to normal. “How did you just do that? I’m so sorry!” She looked down. “It’s not your fault, but... whose is it?” He looked away. “Not mine... that’s all I’m telling.”
She just ran out of the tent. “I’m done.” And she was. She didn’t know what was up with Keefe, and at the moment she really didn’t want to know. After what had just happened... it made her sick to the stomache. At least, she wasn’t with him.
To be continued... later
Chapter 6: the talk
Sophie laughed later, watching Fitz use telekinesis to throw objects around the huge rooms of Everglen, fruits. It wasn’t really funny, Keefe tried to kill her. Yet somehow the sight of Fitz tossing common household items around like there are Keefe's limbs was a little bit hilarious! Fitz suddenly stopped. “Hey I just remembered. Lord Cassius wants to see you.” There was something in the way he said it that made her want to punch him then break up with him and confess her undying loyalty to Keefe. She had thought about it and Fitz always argued with her. He told her he loved her, then shut her out for weeks. Keefe has never argued with her, maybe once about him wanting her to not hate him! He really understood her, and Fitz didn’t. She was tired of his,.. just him. He had broken her heart countless times and never realized it, he just hugged and kissed her and thought that would make her feel better. It just cracked her shattered heart open a little more. But Keefe, whenever he was around he healed it, like duct tape over her heart. He also obviously loved her. She was JUST DONE with the Vackers. She wanted a sarcastic, independent, appreciative Sencen
Sophie rushed out of the room to the (I’m blanking in the name) and selected CandleShade. As she went she realized that, she really cared. Unlike with Fitz. That assured her and she was now sure that she had eyes only for Keefe. She knocked on the door if the gloomy mansion and Lord Cassius answered. He looked tired and perhaps a bit sad. “He played you Sophie. He took Ro, the struggle is still in the walls and floors of his room.” Sophie stopped and she’s screamed.
Cassius looked at her. “Well come in. You know I’m sympathetic with Keefe. I go throug it to. The echo”
CHapter 7: the struggle is real
Sophie looked at him. “YAS!!!!! I’m so glad and happy and emo!!! You have got to tell Keefe!! Wait he’s not here. Nevermind this is such good news!!!!” Lord Cassius looked at her like she had something stuck in her throat. “WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS HORRIBLE!!” For a second his calm facade had broken. It meant he was still human. And the fact that the “human echo” plagued him, that meant it wasn’t by choice he hid those memories away. This didn’t explain why he didn’t try to stab Keefe in the stomach the first chance he got. “I’m stronger then that. And don’t worry I don’t know what your thinking, I’m an empath.” He looked slightly amused compared to her shocked face. Sophie stared. “Just tell me what this thing is!” He smirked. Why was he so collected. Didn’t he want to get rid of it to?”
“Well the Neverseen caught me. Don’t look so surprised. I was young. Yeah saw my raw power. Talent. I had never been so sure I had a purpose. I was gonna make a change. They told me this would help. Block it out. They took a jar of this black swirling mist. Shadowflux. They told me to breathe it in. I was hurt so and that day. I was in a coma for 2 years. Thankfully I had studied. When I woke up, I had no emotions but anger, and calm. I could feel them deep inside. I was a carnal animal. But I was also a Sencen and of course I hid it away. That’s when I realized. The Neverseen were bad. That’s when I joined the black swan. I was always in the black swan. I just didn’t want it to be known. I couldn’t let it be known. I have the urge to follow the echos orders all the time. But I am strong and the neglect of my son fed it, satisfied it. I love him. For him. But because of this I can’t tell him that.” His eyes momentarily darkened at this then went back to normal a second later. Sophie whispered. “But you cope. And Keefe can’t. When did he get the echo?”
Lord Cassius sighed. “Me. They dropped it at my doorstep. And that was the one time the echo took control. You see I had shoved thoughts of love for my son away, and so I couldn’t feel bad for him. I couldn’t feel that it was wrong. The very thing that doesn’t hurt him, hurt him. I’ll never forgive myself for slipping it in his mallowmelt. It was all I could do to help. I never cool it for him and it’s his favorite. You should have seen the look of betrayal on his face.”
Sophie thought about this gravely. She had to save Keefe. “Tell me what is the antidote?” Cassius just looked at her. “There isn’t one.” Sophie felt herself crumble. “There has to be.” Cassius shrugged. “Well there isn’t. We are out of luck and time and tricks. The Neverseen have won this one.”
