Chapter one (Keefe's point of view)
(This is my first fanfic Don't judge please)
As keefe slept broken words filled his head. All the things he had been called , Everythig used to descirbe him floated in his head. Disapointment. Disgrace. Usless. He tried to push them out of his head but they kept comming. Louder. They screamed in his head over and over. Useless! Dissapointment! Dissgrace! Each time they felt stronger.
Keef woke up in a cold sweat. He was trembelling. It felt like there was a gapping hole in his chest. He thought back to the old nursery rhyme he had been told as a kid. Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. He rocked himself back and forth on the bed as he clutched Mrs. Stink bottom. " Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me." He reapeated this over and over. No matter how many times he said it, it did not help. Deep down Keefe felt those words, and they hurt.Keefe drifted back off too sleep and prepared for another misserable day.
He woke up in the morrning and did not want to move. He wanted to stay in bed, where he was safe from his father's insults. Instead he got out of bed and put a fake smirk on his face and prepared to go through the day pretending he was feeling alright. His father barely looked at him as he got ready for school. "Don't be a dissapointment ." Was all his father said. It wasn't anything New. Don't be a dissapointment was his father's favorite way to greet his son in the morrning. No matter how much he masked it, the words would always hurt.

He asked with a smirk. When she didn't respond he simpl asked " How are things going with Fitzy poo?" He asked. She had no idea how hard it was to say that without gagging. " They aren't. He got mad when I told him I was unmatchable and said he couldn't date someone like me." Her eyes welded up. Keefe put his arms around her to comfort her. The tears fell. Sophie 's emotions were pure turmoil. Anger, sadness, but the most domminant was lonelines. Sophie quieted soon and soon she and Keefe were talking and laughing in their own little world again as if everything was okay.
