Tam stepped out of the showers, sighing contentedly that he was finally able to actually take a shower without getting interrupted by an exploding gadget or a flying Keefe (It’s a rather long story). Of course, just as he was walking out, half-naked with only a towel (a bright pink one at that) covering him, Fitz walked up to him.
Fitz gave Tam a serious look. “We need to talk.” With those words, Fitz yoinked him away off to the couch.
”Alright, Tam, over the last month, I’ve feel like we’ve really bonded. Well...sort of. I mean, you don’t talk too much, and actually, I haven’t really known you that long, but DANG IT, YOU’RE LIKE THE BROTHER I NEVER HAD!” Fitz started.
“Does Alvar not count as your brother?” Tam questioned wryly.
”NO!” Fitz yelled, before taking a deep breath. “I really need your advice...on...Uh...”
Tam slowly reached for his clothes as Fitz stumbled over his words. When Fitz turned to him, Tam quickly placed his hands back in his lap innocently.
”Gosh, this is embarrassing...ugh, I need advice on...girls.” Fitz mumbled sheepishly.
”Girls.” It wasn’t a question.
”Y-Yeah, I want to get a date with Sophie, and...yeah.” Fitz said awkwardly.
”Uh..Just ask outright or something, wait for the right moment. Like, a romantic moment? Don’t try pick-up lines, and be yourself?” Tam suggested.
Fitz looked determined. “Alright, Tam, I’ll follow your advice!”
Apparently, Tam’s advice worked really well, as Fitz would report the next day.
Coincidentally, Biana pulled Tam from his spot on the couch, reading a book.
”Tam, I know you’re busy, but you’re the only one in the area I can talk to now.” Biana began.
”...What is it?” He asked, closing his book exasperatedly.
”I’ve got friends visiting and-“
Tam cut her off. “Be yourself. All the sparkles and glitter. All the dresses. Do it how you would with the others and I.”
Biana nodded. “Alright, then.”
The next day, a complete stranger walked up to him at school. “H-hey, I’ve been hearing that your advice has been working really well for others, so I was wondering if I should accept being a Level 7 and entering the Elite Levels...”
Tam internally groaned, but he spoke anyways. “Depends on what you want for your future. If you want a good job, you should probably accept. If not, still accept, because Elite Prodigies often get special perks and things, even after they graduate.”
The student nodded and darted away. When five people came up to Tam the next day, he knew it was time to stop. After sending the kids off with new knowledge and wisdom, he created a flyer.
The next day, students passing by would see a piece of paper tacked to the advertisements board reading:
I am NOT your guidance counselor. Go get a real one.
Sincerely, TamÂ
