Fitz cares too much about the unmatchable thing!! also when Alden's mind broke he got really angry at Sophie...
I don't think that Fitz and Sophie will end up together because Sophie doesn't have that much trust in Fitz, even though they are Cognates. Sophie tells everything to Keefe. She also spends most of her time with Keefe. Even when Sophitz was happening, there are barely any scenes between Sophie and Fitz. But there are plenty between Sophie and Keefe. In book nine (WHICH HAS BECOME AND IMMEDIATE NEED), its most likely that Sokeefe will happen. I think Ro is going to use a dare to make Keefe tell Sophie about his HUGE crush in her.
Personally I don't think they will, because they seem better as friends. At the end of Legacy Sophie was happy because it was a lot easier and less stressful to be friends with Fitz. She said things already felt less awkward. Plus, a big part of her crush was she thought he was perfect (or at least close) but now she knows that isn't true. Seems like a great friendship but a stressful romantic relationship with too much pressure.
But Fitz doesn't seem to mind about the bad match anymore. He realsied his mistake and owned up to it, so we shouldn't be focused on it as much. This comes from a hardcore Team Foster-Keefe shipper by the way.
One other thing about Sophie and Keefe is it seems like a deeper (romantically) relationship. For example, Sophie liked Fitz when she barely knew him, and it's clear a big part is his looks. Also, Sophie says in book 8 a big reason she liked Fitz's gifts was because it proved he though about her, but the gift themselves weren't meaningful. Nothing is wrong with this it just feels like when someone squeals over any type of interaction between thier crush. Also, we know it is one of Sophie's first crushes since in book one she says she didn't think she was like silly girls who got nervous around boys.
She also thought Keefe was handsome when she first met him, but we only got heart flutters and romatic moments after we got to know him as a person. Keefe's POV's in NIghtfall and Flashback seemed deeper than Fitz's in Flashback. Basically, Fitz is a first crush and Keefe is something deeper. (At least for now)
I’m a Sophitz shipper, but I have to agree that the likeliness of them getting together at the end isn’t that great, which makes me sad :(. Honestly, I think Sophie and Fitz just have to work it out-they’ve never really been able to have a super meaningful talk without being interrupted ?♀️ They’ve had meaningful talks, sure, but they both need to be calm and understand where each other is coming from, something I think that they aren’t capable of yet.
but Shannon might also be mean and not say an ending to who Sophie chooses because that would mean everybody would be able to imagine their own ending but I want an actual Sophie decision...
If Shannon does that.......... I WILL CRY!!!!!!!!!!!1
Well its true (SAD BUT TRUE) because Keefe's mom is the leader of Sophie's sworn enemy, and I know that it doesn't make Keefe bad but at some point he will face his mom and have to choose also nobody knows if he will wake up crazy or not.
I think we all need to remember that Sophie also has a lot against the matchmaking system. So, even if she does find out the identities of both her biological parents, she probably won't register. Besides, Sophie didn't just break up with Fitz because of her match status. Their relationship had been slowly crumbling throughout all of legacy and Sophie's decision to discontinue the search for her biological parents was the last straw. Therefore, Sophie wouldn't come crawling back to Fitz if she got her match status fixed.
