How? Through Mary? Even if so, he couldn't be Messiah. But then, isn't Christianity based on Jesus is the Christ, whose coming as the messiah was prophesied in the Hebrew Bible?
Not trying to be rude, just slightly curious.
He is related to David, his father was David’s creator.
Yes, through Mary. Why wouldn't that make sense? The first prophesy about Jesus was that He'd be born of a virgin anyway, so thousands of years before Jesus came it already wouldn't matter about the father. Mary is a member of the family line of David, so Jesus came from David's family line. And besides, what does being the messiah have to do with family lineage? It's not something you inherit.

Because the Messiah must be descended on his father's side from King David (that was a requirement). That's stated in Genesis 49:10, Isaiah 11:1, Jeremiah 23:5, 33:17; Ezekiel 34:23-24. That's where the lineage comes from.
I don't see anything in those verses specifically talking about the Messiah coming from the father's side of the family. It just says that Jesus would come from the root of Jesse, and He did, through Mary.

So, I have a question for you Jews, do you believe that he healed people??? That he performed miracles???? After all, wasn’t that the whole reason the Pharisees killed him???
Also, in the lot testament, it mentions a lot about his suffering, If he came today, how would that happen???? Because if he came to Israel, most likely he would just be quickly shot. Who would be in place of the Bible day Romans that he would have to free you from????????

Not quite sure what you were trying to convey with all of those question marks. But anyway, no, we were not taught that he healed people. He was not the son of God (in Jewish religion), so he could not have performed miracles. (Might I remind you that just because I was born Jewish, I have taken on an agnostic label. I don't know everything that you're talking about xd)
By "lot," I assume you mean "old"...? When you say "his suffering", are you referring to that time it mentioned "suffering servant"? Because that referred to the suffering of the Jewish people. I'm not quite sure what you mean with the rest of that paragraph.
Sorry, I’m sometimes not very good at explaining my self.
What I meant is, some one said that he was supposed to save them from the Romans, if he came today, who would he save you from?? -JediMoonlarkAvenger
good point. and random question: do Jews believe in the whole Old Testament, or just the Torah?
Okie someone needs to make a new thread
