Just went to broadway Hadestown last week, it was the best show of my life. Absolutely in love. Anyone else see it with this cast in ny or some other time? I’m wondering how it would do in a community or hs theater.

Ok so doesn't anyone think it's weird how some bodyguards (or at least the main ones) have the same personality as their client?

Keefe. Him and Ro are. The. Same. Person. They're both chaotic, important, and powerful, they may not have the same family situation, but Keefe and Ro both are really energetic and always joke around. Occasionally they'll be serious for Sophie, but then all chaotic and loud, cracking jokes here and there.

Sophie. She's serious, (my opinion) and so is Sandor. He takes his job really serious, and it depends on what it is but Sophie does too.

Another thing about the bodyguards, they're always the opposite gender (to what I remember). Isn't it weird? Was it explained in the book/by Shannon in an interview why that is?

Sophie and Sandor

Keefe and Romhilda (Ro)

Dex and Lovise

Fitz and Grizel

(just doing sophie's first bodyguard)

w: weird topic I mean to some it's not but..the wHaT iF..

I feel like the bodyguards of the elves should be the same gender so they can understand them [elves] better and be able to actually be there more often. For example if Sophie gets injured or something after like..showering...I know people might not want to bring this up, but if she's in a towel/undergarments then it would be really awkward to get help from Sandor, I just feel it would be way more helpful and more comfortable for the elves if their bodyguard was their same gender. (assuming there's no lgbtq characters, sorry its less complicated like this..)
