I think that as a person, if I knew her I would like her, I just don't like the way that Shannon has written her. Less a problem with the character, more a problem with the development.
^^ I suppose, but we've never really gotten a true reason why they wouldn't be able to give her phasing in canon, so I still feel like it just doesn't make sense.
We see almost none, and you think someone who's been through so much would have a stronger mentality or at least try to talk and use therapy or something like that
She serves her purpose as protagonist! I love the series so I love her. She's a teenager, she makes teenager mistakes. Her powers don't include "No more flaws".
^ yeah, I see that, and I loved her in the first books. it was when she started treating Dex, my absolute fave, like something that belonged in the landfill, that I disliked her :/
i think she's underrated in her own series </3. girl's just a teenager and she's been kidnapped, genetic experiment, and almost died like twenty times. ifl the fandom needs to give her a break cause she gets sm hate compared to everyone else (especially the guys)
also what sophie did wasn’t sa or abuse at all i don’t know why that was even suggested on a wiki for a middle school book series😭 i shut out my friends all the time especially during stressful times in the school year, if im stressing about calculus then i can’t imagine how much sophie is stressing about keeping everybody safe
